There is no curtain between the toilet and the bath.

I am writing this evaluation in Booking.com for the first time because I appreciate the people at the hotel. 1, Introduce a nice car driver, Max I told them that I would like to go to Vardzia, they introduced Max. He drove us not only to Vardzia but also to historical places and photo spots we had not known. In addition, the price was low for what he had done for us. Thanks to him, we were able to fully enjoy our trip. 2, Diana’s Hospitality When I found a laundry, she took care of the laundry. Thanks to them, I love Georgia even more.

My husband and I can’t say enough about hotel New Star. The owners David and Diana were the nicest people and took great care of us. Diana bakes these amazing Georgian breads and pastries and was always offering us some or a coffee/tea. They would ask our plans for the day and recommend things for us to see in the area. We even sat and talked with them and their friends for hours one night. The property was located right next to Rabati castle, so very conveniently located. The room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!

If I have to be really petty, then I could add that the bathroom has all amenities assembled in one place, meaning you have to remove the toiletpaper, etc. before taking a shower. But it really was not a big issue.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this hotel. The hostess was an absolute darling and everything were up to our expectations regarding the room. There really isn’t anything bad to say. Even the breakfast was quite fine.

Location is perfect, right by the Rabati Fortress. The rooms were very clean and neat. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was not included, but there are a lot of cafes across the street where you can take breakfast. Highly recommended places.

While most budget bathrooms in Georgia have a wet floor shower, this bathroom is very small which makes showering a little tricky. You’ll probably have to take the nozzle off the wall and shower one handed. During check out, we were shown a “9.6 rating” and were asked to give the same rating or higher. The lady said, “If you want to give us a lower rating, then please don’t rate us at all”. We do not like the dishonesty implied in this request. This is a budget room, good value for money, with decent comfort and features, but it is in no way a 10. We think it’s important to give travellers fair and honest reviews and we do not like the idea that this hotel pressures its guests to leave only perfect 10/10 reviews.

The attic room is comfortable, spacious and has access to a nice balcony that looks into the Rabati fort. It is located in a quiet street full of guest houses which appear to be in strong competition with one another. The room is excellent value for the price any budget traveler would be very happy and comfortable here. Our host was kind, chatty and very attentive to our needs. Similar to other guests, he strongly recommended eating at Mimino across the street and before we knew it, had called them to open the restaurant only for us. While this was kind, and the food was okay, for vegetarians we recommend that you also try the Lighthouse guesthouse across the street, which was high quality and good value if you have time to wait.

For this price range - excellent

Great location on edge of town right next to castle. Great views, with sensation of space. Good basic restaurant right in front. Very clean and comfortable for price range - so good value. Staff lovely… very friendly and helpful and made my stay more enjoyable… including the complementary homemade wine which was a nice touch. I would definitely stay again.

The bathroom was too small, although no problems with water. There could have been a curtain to separate a shower zone from the washbasin. Also there wasn't any cloth to clean the floor after taking a shower so it's better to have one with you. The rest was good in the place.

The location was exceptional, right at the feet of Rabati Castle! The place is very quiet at night. The rooms (we have booked 2) are quite spacious, have 2 level lights, a table where to take tea or coffee, large balconies; a small refrigerator was a good help during summer time to keep water, juices and beer cool and handy. The beds were comfortable to sleep on. The stuff was good, smiling, ready to help with the information, they gave us good indications about where to eat in the town. They also offered us to make a free coffee if we wished. I recommend this small hotel as to solo travelers, as to couples. I will definitely return to this hotel.
