It’s a beautiful and traditional house that has been around for (what feels like) centuries. The hosts are very kind and welcoming and the food was amazing. We asked for vegetarian options and got a wonderful meal. It was very impressive!

Wonderful friendly family who have lived in Ushguli for 36 generations! Thanks for hosting us for Shabbat and allowing us to cook kosher. Tamari (16) and Janeki (11) were very helpful and translated everything for us! A cozy authentic experience in a traditional home.

Slightly difficult to find the exact house.

Felt very authentic. Kind lady and her son and daughter. We were shown their tower and could climb all the way to the top. Food was delicious.

We LOVED our stay at the Old house. The owners are extremely nice, friendly and helpful people. They made us feel really welcome. Their accommodation is cozy, well equipped, clean, everything you need for your stay. The food was delicious, really DELICIOUS, and there were always options to choose from and it varied every day. We were here on a winter skitour holiday, and it was possible to ski right from the door. We also needed to arrange a taxi from Mestia to Ushguli, and the family arranged this for us with no problem. Amazing stay, amazing family. Hopefully we'll make the trip to Ushguli again, and if we do, Old house will be the only choice for us. Thank you once again for everything <3

It’s the brilliant place to stay in Ushguli. I felt like I was visiting my family. Siblings are amazing! As the parents are 💕 Highly recommend to have a dinner and breakfast, it’s all natural, homemade, the cuisine of the Mother of the house is incredible, makes you happy. Everything was very clean. It was the best place to stay with the best family during our trip. Thank you very much❤️ We are happy that we had a chance to meet this beautiful family.

Ushguli is an amazing place well worth effort to get to. Old House is in the Unesco heritage site and combines old and new wonderfully. The family keeps the house scrupulously clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the meals are fantastic.

It's 1 minute walk from the main bridge of Ushguli, very easy to find. The facilities are basic but you get a thick quilt and there is enough hot water for shower. The family are extremely nice when you have a chance I would recommend you to have at least one meal there. The father of the family made incredible wood craft which you could admire in the living room.

Amazing to be able to stay in a 12th century house in the middle of the unesco world heritage site. Felt transported back in time. But that isn’t the highlight at this amazing spot. The family was incredible. So welcoming and professional and warm. The mom cooked with heart and the results were delicious and plentiful. The kids were great at English and fun to chat to to learn about life in this area. The dad is a carpenter and dedicated to preserving local history. He can also drive you back to mestia. A highlight on our trek from mestia to ushguli for sure.

The food food was delicious, fresh and more various then in different guesthouses, we tasted the tarragon speciality. The family was kind and welcoming, we asked the desire of horse ride to the glacier and they organised it for us in perfect conditions.
