Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great property in a very secluded part of Georgia. They say the journey is the destination. In this case, it’s’ partially true. The journey to the hotel is an unforgettable 70km drive through incredible scenery on a road that is not for the fainted hearted. We hired a driver who makes the 4 hour trip multiple times per week. The hotel staff were incredible with just the right amount of assistance without being overbearing. The property doesn’t have modern conveniences that you find in other hotels around they world like TV, minibar and refrigerator, but that was just fine for us. The hotel restaurant has a great menu of local and Georgian dishes. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant on each of our three days there. Nothing disappointed us. It’s a beautifully decorated property with lots of windows to the extraordinary mountain views If you are ready for an adventure with a great hotel destination, I highly recommend Samzeo

IsraelNo such things
We got amaizing experience in hotel Samzeo!! Tusheti is exceptional untouched nature buity. But it is not easy to get there and for sure not easy to live there. The hotel level completely exseed our expectations and it is completely different level vs all other accommodations in this area. Hotel is stylish, clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant is also the best in the area and prices are fair. Breakfast was also excellent. We asked the team to help us with tours planning and the staff took care everything we need, including transfer both ways and tours all 3 days we spent in Tusheti. The overall expirience was accordingly to the famous Georgian hospitality, from the first moment of communication till the moment whole staff came to say goodbye.

SpainAs pointed out before, the internet is a bit of an issue. It works ok-ish in the lobby (upload was better than download, which is strange), but even though we had the first room in the corridor there was no signal. Some repeaters might help here. Unfortunately, the hotel is also in the shadow of a hill for the mobile tower, so that didn’t work well either, for large data you have to drive down to the police (my partner had to give a zoom talk which didn’t really work :) ). The room furniture is a bit too “fashion” and doesn’t include a single drawer anywhere (!) and there were about 5 hangers on an open bar, so if you want to unpack some clothes, the window shelf was the only option. The view could have been better, not to the local power station, but well, I guess that is the grounds they got to construct the hotel.
The hotel is probably the most fancy one in the otherwise very basic and remote region of Tusheti, separated from the rest of Georgia and the world by a 75km 4WD road. The interior is very tasteful, especially the lobby and the dining room, and the rooms large and comfortable. I’d been wondering all the time how much effort it must have taken to get all these things here through that road… The staff was very friendly and helpful, even if they do not all speak much English (some do though). The price was the highest we payed in all our Georgia travel, still not outrageous and fully justified given the remote location and standard. Food at the restaurant was excellent as was the wine and we got a good overview of Tusheti food, lots of cheese and butter :) (it’s hard to have dinner in Tusheti outside your accommodation). We felt so comfortable and loved Tusheti so much that we finally stayed a night more than originally booked.

GermanyNo WiFi available during my stay, the deluxe double room I booked didn't offer any luxury at all (no closet, no shelf, no drawers, no light over the mirror in the bathroom, no coffee or tea, no mini-bar, no fridge, no chairs on the balcony (at least I received two after asking though), no furniture in the room at all except a table and the bed), music during the dinner a little too loud, fire at the fireplace was lit a little too late (almost after dinner time), long walking distances in the hotel, no elevator...
Nice and cozy furnishing in the lobby and restaurant, rustic but modern, very good food and breakfast, nice fireplaces, very kind and helpful staff, comfortable large bed, nice view from the balcony!

IsraelА bit far from upper Omalo village where local life and attractions are happening. However for those that are in shape, 15 minutes hike shouldn't be an issue. Rarely possible our days lack of the internet connectivity (probably common for the area).
6+ stars comfort comparing to the surrounding guesthouses. Staff is very proficient, supportive and speaking several languages. Very good restaurant to any taste, granted food quality. Extra services, such as planning trips around, organizing PCA test on the way back, etc. Brought relax to the otherwise concerned travellers.
