How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Little bit far from city centre..but..it's OK.. there is minibus 133 come every 1 hour or you can order yandex taxi for 1 us dollar
Hospitality of the owner..friendly and welcoming Scienic view from balcony..very quiet location..affordable price

Everything was great !
All was great with private airport transfers and excursion to different places, local food and wine. Gia is great host.

The room was comfortable with the view of the mountains. Guests can also benefit from a large shared balcony with some sitting places. The owner is exceptionally caring and welcoming. He helped me with some travel arrangements and showed me a bit around. It is a good place for a longer stay to visit the city, discover some heritage sites outside it, and enjoy hiking.

Friendly hospitable owner and family. Comfortable large room with private toilet and shower. Beautiful view from the window and from the common balcony. At 150 meters there is a spring with clean tasty water. A couple of kilometers at the end of a large stone quarry there is a wild cave 30 meters long with halls 10 meters high, judging by the size of the stalagmites, it is at least a thousand years old. Above the quarry there is a beautiful forest with a road and paths. There is a very beautiful canyon of the Tskaltsitela river in the niche of the quarry, in summer it is shallow and you can walk right along it.

I enjoyed my stay at Sofia Guest House. The room is big, equipped with AC and private bathroom. You can see the beautiful mountain from the balcony. Gia and his family- the owner, are very hospitable. They gave me tea and biscuits every morning. Gia also offered to pick me up from the train station and drove me to the city center. The place is situated a bit far from the city center and there is no public transportation. However, you can use bolt taxi with only 2-3 GEL. Highly recommend to stay here when you visit Kutaisi.

I was very lucky to stay in a Sofia Guest House for three days! The owner with his Georgian family was very welcoming. Also, the owner took us on a tour to the Prometheus Cave and a neighboring Lake and Tskhrajvari Mountain with an amazing view, for an extra charge. He also suggested many non-touristic restaurants to try proper Georgian cuisine.

The bathrooms had lots of issues, the toilets couldn't flush and the wifi was a bit spotty. Overall, a lovely time.

One of the best welcome I had during my trip to Georgia! Gia is a caring and very generous person. What hospitality! The house is very friendly, although far from the center, this is not a problem, Gia will offer to drop you off in town, then there are inexpensive marshsrutkas and taxis! He can also take you to visit the local monasteries for half a day. Do not hesitate. Unfortunately, I did not have time to say goodbye, because I left very early in the morning. Thank you again for this beautiful meeting and your hospitality.

It’s a little bit far from the center… but it worth the extra effort because it’s really an amazing hostel!
