This was the best vacation of our life. The hotel is very conveniently located from the town and yet only a few minutes walk away from the Hatsvali cable car. We stayed in Room No.301 which has a bedroom and a separate sitting area with couch and a very big private terrace overlooking the mountains. Overall the room has two balconies and a private terrace.The room is provided with very big glass windows. The views from the room of the surrounding mountains is simply outstanding . No words to explain the views, it's simply astounding and superb. We spent whole days in the room and open terrace just soaking in the scenery. We wake up each morning seeing the snowing and the magical landscape. The staff are the best people we have ever come across in any of the hotels. It felt like second home to us. The manager Lasha is always there to make you comfortable and to fullfill any of your needs. The caretaker Aunty la is simply an outstanding cook and a marvellous human being, very kind and always at your service. The breakfast every morning was superb.The owner of the hotel Uncle Vakho is a very friendly and funny person, ready to help you with any of your requirement. He even gave us home made wine and dropped us to the bus station at town square on the last day. Overall we had the best vacation of our life.

The Sunset Terrace in the autumn colors of late October was a brilliant hotel choice in Mestia! We chose a room with a large, private, terrace overlooking the stone towers in town and a riot of autumn color in the surrounding trees. The October foliage was just stunning, really. We appreciated having a separate sitting area and bedroom and loved the light coming in from large windows on 3 sides. The bed was comfortable, breakfast good, and staff warm and welcoming. We had a car but enjoyed the short walk to town so much that the car never moved until the day we had to leave.

They don’t have AC in the rooms. We went during hottest time of the year. I think in general it will not be a problem.

It has a beautiful view. If you have room 301, we will really enjoy the night there! The staff are really friendly and helpful. They speaks English well. The rooms were spotless. They set up extra beds for my children. One of my best hotel experiences in Georgia.

Beautiful minimalistic decor. Huge room.Excellent service including a free ride to our bus departure. Breakfast was varied and very good. The view from the 4th floor terrace is amazing.

The water pressure in the shower is a little bit weaker than what we like

The breakfest was a real fest. They made a point of asking us when would we like to have it served and when we entered the dining room we found our table loaded with freshly scrambled eggs, Georgian pastries, salads and cheese

We had the best stay at this hotel! It is located in a very beautiful place, and the view from our terrace was just fascinating. The room was very clean and warm. The breakfast was delicious, too. We also thank the owners for chatting with us, advising us places to go to, and welcoming us. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and hope to come back one day.

We (family with 2 kids, 6 y.o. and 2 y.o.) have had a wonderful stay at Sunset Terrace - the room is very comfortable, the breakfast was fabulous, the terrace itself has a fantastic 360 view to Mestia and mountains. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Overall, highly recommended to everyone!

Room was great, excellent view and staff very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. We got a complimentary bottle of chacha. Do visit the terrace as it has a 360 view of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was great too.

The first star is Nana! It’s difficult to imagine the hotel keeper more attentive, helpful, hospitable. She is an amazingly smart lady, whose advice is excellent and must be followed. The second is the hotel’s exterior, which resembled the Svan tower in super modern modification. The views from the upper towers mesmerize in the morning, day, and especially in the darkness when towers of 10-12 centuries are illuminated. The third star is the cleanness of the rooms and buffet area, the quality of linens, towels, bathrobes, curtains. The fourth is the buffet itself. Plenty of various dishes. Vegetables and fruit, cheese, fish, sausages, coffee machine with excellent coffee beans. Nana watches the guest coming and rushes with fresh hot khachapuri, the Georgian cheese pie. We with our friends coined the breakfast “royal”. The fifth star is Vachtang, the owner of the hotel, who produced the unique level of comfort and relaxation in a place, far from everything, where cows are traveling along the main road, where regular hotels or guest houses keep the rooms for 6-8 persons with shared bathrooms and all other features, typical for the remote locations. Bravo Vacha!
