Power cuts, but I guess this applies to the whole village at the same time. In one of the rooms there was a scratching noise all over the night, probably mouse. The host was unhappy with the fact that we've used booking.com and that we could not have cancelled our reservation. She asked us not to post any review here, probably to mark our booking as a no-show, which should not be the case. She was also very unhappy that the breakfast was included in our offer, according to booking.com. Anyway, in the end what was marked as included, was included, so no cheat here, you just need to make sure that everything is discussed and agreed upfront. I would advise everyone to always ask for a price of each service, so you do not get surprised in the end. Other than that the overall experience was really good, but a few points lower because of all these small situations mentioned above.

I have very mixed feelings. On one hand, the accommodation was very good considering you are in a very remote location. When we asked about renting horses, it was organized very quickly, though we were not informed that we will only get 20 minutes on the glacier, considering that one way from the "parking" up to the glacier takes ~50 minutes. As a result, we had to do the same trip by car on the next day, to get the complete experience.

We stayed in the presidential suite with an amazing view. The host was super nice, the food we had there was amazing... We had a blast while staying in Ushguli, the mountains were responsible for the better part of it, but this superb accommodation played a part in it as well.

Great place to stay in Ushguli, delicious breakfasts, of course with warm khachapuri. Great location with a wonderful view of Ushguli and Sahkhra Glacier. Very comfortable beds in which we slept very well. The owner Maya was very helpful, she quickly arranged a cheaper transport to Mestia for us when we found out that our driver was not coming. I highly recommend :)

The bathroom was a little bit smelly, but in general clean. At the end we were told to rate the accommodation either with 10 points or not at all.

The food was very delicious and the cook very kind! We also enjoyed the view during our stay. The blankets have been very comfortable. Our host organized us a return trip to Mestia for 50 Lari. We really recommend staying in the hotel.

The hotel has a perfect location, also the breakfast and homemade food was delicious. The room was basic but clean and with beautiful view od the mountains. I definitely recommend this place.

Rooms in second house. Think better in main house.

Maya is very helpfull, hard working, very good meals and best cake muffins of the whole mountain. Located on top, ideal view on mountain and on track top top Shkhara glacier. She arranged 4x4 for us to glacier café and to Lentekhi. Cold beer and drinks... We had a good time here.

Everything was perfect. Ushguli is a beautiful village and the room we had at Tekla hotel had superbs views on the Shkhara mountain. The host was very kind and helpful, everything was clean and food delicious ! I highly recommend it !

The wifi could improvs. However, this is a problem in the entire area.

The location is great. You’ve got a great view over the mountains. The staf was very hospitable. We slept in comfortable beds and received a lovely big breakfast. Overall I absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Ushguli
