Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe house and garden are beautiful together with the beautiful view of Telavi. The hosts make you feel like you are at home. They offer tours and make you breakfast, and they are super care giving and really kind. And when you feel sick like I did they give you Cha Cha which makes everything better. All in all it was an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend going there!

MexicoIt's not the properties fault, but don't follow Google Maps at the end. It doesn’t lead you to the guesthouse. It's better to put in the Old Gate Hotel, pass it on your right ,come to the end of the street, turn right, and then the guesthouse is signed from there.
We really enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and tried to be as helpful as possible. We chose the family room so it had its own balcony but until the last night we were the only guests. Each morning, Tina cooked us a lovely breakfast different each day, such a treat. We also did a wine and monasteries tour, which was wonderful and just beautiful to be driven around the countryside. When it came to leave, our host went through the different ways to get to our next stop, Tbilisi. We decided a shared taxi was the way to go, and that was a great idea. We can not rate this guesthouse highly enough. It was everything you could ask for.

United KingdomNothing, really. All perfect.
Everything was perfect. The owners are a lovely welcoming couple. The man even went out to the nearest corner to help our driver find the way (a bit tricky). The house is nice and quiet, the room had quality furniture, a big bed, a good-sized ensuite and a balcony with great views. They cooked us a fantastic breakfast upon request.

IndiaWe've got no words for how fantastic the stay at Tinikos Guesthouse was. The room and washroom was super clean, the location was right in the center, there was absolutely nothing missing. The most amazing thing was the incredible hospitality. The host was so helpful in everything, you could really tell he runs the guest house with all his heart. We got wine every evening and breakfast in the morning which was all delicious. Highly recommended to everyone staying in Telavi or you will miss out on the best stay in the town.

GermanyIt was a bit difficult to find it with Google Maps leading us into a dead end, but once you have found it, it is easy and comfortable to reach.
The couple who is running the guesthouse are really welcoming. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and had everything that you need. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. We also were offered some delicious pancakes for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again when we are in Telavi.

United KingdomWe had a lovely time staying at Tiniko’s Guesthouse. Tiniko is the most welcoming host, accommodating and friendly. You will always be greeted with a smile. Tiniko helped us organise many day trips in the surrounding areas and was happy to adapt them to facilitate our particular requirements. He also recommended local restaurants and helped us organise our travel back to Tbilisi, driving us to the local station and liaising with the drivers on our behalf. The room is huge, with high ceilings, lots of light and super clean. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a fantastic view of the Caucasus mountains. It is a central location, a short walk from Main Street and the fortress. Breakfast is fantastic, there is a lot! We loved it so much that we stayed extra nights! It felt so homely and authentically Georgian as if we were staying with grandparents. Highly recommended.
