Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Georgiaunfortunately, a new hotel is currently being built nearby, which slightly blocks the view of the sea and can cause sudden noise at 10 am
the owner of the guesthouse is a very nice person, he called us several times: first at the time of booking, then on the day of arrival to warn us that he would be away on business and asked his son to meet us. afterwards, he introduced himself and kept clarifying that he was ready to help with any request within the framework of our stay. my husband and I planned our vacation activities ourselves, but I’m sure Zurab would have suggested good restaurants, wine shops, and the best spots on the beach. an extremely hospitable man even by georgian standards! the guesthouse is modest, but equipped with an excellent kitchen and washing machine, each room has a small bathroom, with pretty good plumbing and nice pressure and hot water in the shower, which is not so often seen on sea vacation in Georgia. the bed is comfortable, small lockers that can fit a set of things from a backpack (that was enough for us), each room has a balcony (we smoke, so this was important). interesting thing - we stopped by on a cold and rainy day for Kobuleti, so we lived with heating - it works properly. the location is excellent, close to the beach and a coffee shop with specialty drinks

GermanyThe guest house is located right next to the Black Sea. The owner are very kind and helpful in any question and always gave nice recommendations for food. It has a little shared kitchen in every floor, so its also possible to cook there.

AustriaThe shared kitchen was in a very condition. The kettle was very dirty it was uncomfortable to touch it, the pan very used (the surface was very scratched, that it was unsafe to use it). The refrigerator was so dirty, it was very uncomfortable to store products in there. I was off season and logically one would expect perfect cleanness since very little amount of people come during winter. And indeed i was the only person during my 6 nights stay. But no. It felt like that the kitchen was not cleaned since the last guest in summer. Very disappointing. I gave a private feedback to the owner and he promised to take care of the place to make it better for off season guests too. I don’t understand why it was not obvious before my feedback. Also there were stains of wine on the walls in my room. And the owner said that they can’t repaint walls after every client. Well… since o was off season i think it would be possible to do it. And you don’t need to repaint the whole wall. It is enough to cover the stains with the same color that the wall was painted.
The owner is a great and sweet person. I liked the hot water in the shower. The room was okay, would be good to add some additional small lamps near the bed.
