Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandI have an allergy to gluten in wheat. The breakfasts were good but I was not sure what was safe for me to eat. But there was lots of things to choose from. The dinner we did not enjoy so much. The other thing that surprised us was there was only one Georgian wine available and the lobby bar was not open for drinks before dinner.
The pool was fantastic. We loved looking at the Soviet theatre and the gardens were also lovely. We especially liked the glasshouse gallery/ walkway between the hotel and restaurant. We really liked the woodland setting and proximity to the park.

United StatesDefinitely need to clean the bedding (better).
I stayed here for one purpose, and it met that need. However, my sheets were definitely not clean. I have blonde hair, and my bedding had multiple dark hair strands. The service though was amazing.

AustraliaNothing much.
Old style stay in a beautifully refurbished old Soviet Sanatorium creates a great nostalgic vibe. Comfortable and large rooms. Awesome old buildings to explore. Top place for history tragics and urbanexers.

Beautiful building and views. Bright room with comfortable bed. Lots of character. Not too far from the main plaza and restaurants.

United StatesI was disappointed that the radon baths are not actually on the property - you have to leave the grounds, cross the street, and walk into the park to get to Spring no. 6 for the radon bath. The only treatments available at Legends are the physiotherapy treatments (not available on Sundays). The pricing of the radon baths was also misleading. I was told it at Legends that the bath is 12lari for 20 minutes, but when I went to Spring no 6, I found that the 12lari price is only if you buy two visits on two different days (12lari per visit). If you are only there one day and want a radon bath, the price is 25lari for 20 minutes. Ultimately, I enjoyed the history of the spa and the architecture, loved the breakfast, but the place doesn't have a "spa" vibe.
The grounds are beautiful, as are the renovated buildings. The place has a very cool vibe - old school opulence. There is a small bar/lounge in the lobby where you can have a drink. There is a nice outdoor pool in the back for warmer weather. Breakfast is in a separate building - beautiful dining room, variety of food and tasty. It's easy to walk into town and there is a large green park across the street. Small balcony overlooking the grounds.

SingaporeThe in-house dining options aren't extensive, but there are alternatives in Tskaltubo Park a short walk away.
The property is a charming partially-refurbished building with oodles of character, set in extensive grounds. We loved the little architectural details (the statuettes on the roof, the frieze over the main entrance), the glasshouse corridor brimming with plants and featuring a bright blue upright piano, and the hammocks in the gardens. The staff were incredibly helpful, and there is a delightful bar with quirky décor.

SwedenAlthough I know that the place is renovated with a large sum of money, it feels like no upkeep has been done since. Paint is flaking on the walls, there was a water cooker in the room but we found no tea or coffee but rotten apples instead, and the double bed consisted of two single beds put together with no bedding mattress to cover the gap. Although I had read all this on other people's reviews I was still somewhat taken back as it's really not something you would expect from a place that costs 200+ GEL. Perhaps it's part of the Soviet experience? There's an outdoors pool but the spa -if there is one- was closed (until 2024 or so, check the small print).
If you have wondered how it would be to stay in a classic Soviet hotel in perhaps the most famous spa town in the whole CCCP, then here's your chance! Located in a huge garden with exotic pines and spread around several massive buildings the Legends Tskaltubo Spa is a really unique hotel. Long corridors with old Hungarian point parquet and tall ceilings, a huge dining hall for enjoying your somewhat bland breakfast (fresh bread anybody?!) and a possibility to sneak up to take a look at an old theatre hall only half renovated do lend some character to the place. Front desk staff were helpful too!

GeorgiaSome of the facilities were worn out and need replacement, e.g. the table tennis rackets/balls or the billiard table.
The old charm of the sanatorium, the friendly staff and the location close to the central park. Also, this is the only hotel in Tsqaltubo accepting dogs and the staff and the owner have a very warm and friendly attitude towards dogs.

IrelandThe name of the hotel says 'spa' and there is no spa! The restaurant is more of a food hall with lots of local people, which we liked, but the dinner price was very high and not worth the money.
The hotel is really unique. The grounds are huge and very fun to explore. The history of the hotel is very interesting to discover. The pool was great. Reasonably priced.

FranceThe bedding is admittedly pretty awful. And the cleaning standards need to be higher. Breakfast quality was dismal.
The negative reviews for this place are unfair. We almost didn’t come and I’m so glad we did because they have truly achieved something special. The atmosphere is fantastic, staff were friendly and rooms spacious and comfortable. The lobby bar very pleasant and if you’re a history buff this is a truly unique place.
