How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The only thing I'd prefer to be better - wi-fi connection.
It's a perfect location - in the old town near the seafront. There are many restaurants nearby. It's also not far from the bus station - it's convenient for traveling to Kutaisi airport (for example). The room was neat and had a nice terrace with a beautiful view. It was spacious enough.

The host is top notch: Super friendly, replies fast any time and is very helpful. Awesome, I felt well accommodated! The apartment right next to Piazza Square and has everything I could wish for, including a nice view. It's very quiet as well. I enjoyed my stay, used the opportunity to wash my clothes, had some drinks and good talks at the surrounding bars and slept very well. 10 from heart!

Everything was great. Just as a suggestion, the kitchen could have been a little better equipped with things like dishwashing liquid and somewhere to place the dishes after washing up.
We had a great stay. The location is perfect with many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the owner was very kind. We loved the terrace and the beautiful views of the city. We would definitely stay here if we ever visit Batumi again.

Shower was a bit broken, poor sound isolation like in many hotels here. But in general all was fine. In a low season you don't have many neighbors living here

Be aware this is a city centre with its night life. Lots of bars and karaoke in a hand stretch. Right near our terrace and bedroom window was one and a very loud music going on all day long and all night, sometimes someone was karaoke screeching out of key at 2 am. I must say that the insulation of the windows is quite good but still it was really loud. We requested the bar to at least keep it low during late hours, but was turned off rudely. Georgi and Nina were at great help and did their best to sort of this inconvenience, but this place is definitely not for sensitive sleepers.
Hotel is located in the old city surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafes. it’s just few minutes walk from the main attractions and the seafront. It’s a bit difficult to find at first and not so much explanation on the booking. West apart hotel represents few apartments on the 4th floor of the building (lift goes until 3d floor). You have to look for the sigh WA, and walk thru the arc and the yard to the back staircase. The apartments are new and well equipped. We had a one bedroom with a living room and spacious bedroom, and it was perfect for our family of 4. Our flat had kitchenette with a microwave, sink and kettle, washing machine in the bathroom. It would be nice to have a cooking plate, as we have small kids, to make some breakfast, but we managed for a few days without. The terrace is huge and had stunning views on the city and it’s attractions. The hosts are great, Georgi and Nina were on hold all the time and ready to help with everything. I’m very thankful to Nina for driving around and buying baby cot for our son before our arrival, she made our stay much more comfortable.

There was no staff to work during the stay, no one to clean the room, and even if you want to pay(they need cash) for the room, you have to make international call to booking.com. Finally, after wasting more than two hours, a girl came to the hotel and charged me for the room. The manager replied message that the director had gone to Barcelona and the housekeeping was off, so why are you still open? This is the first time I've seen such a terrible hotel.

The entrance is difficult to find and a bit scary. There is generally nobody at the reception.. Don't get confused with the name..it's not a proper hotel.
The terrace / balcony had a good view. The room was clean and spacious. Reasonably priced.
