Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel was at the seafront but the sea was not clean at all. When I entered the sea, I was sick because the locals had no respect for the sea and everything was floating in it. I chose not to take sea bathes which was most disappointing. I did not like the fact that there were no opportunities for group tours at all. There was a hotel bus but it was hired out to private groups and was not set up for the general public to access and use for tours. There were no scheduled tours at the hotel - instead everyone knew someone who could take you places privately, which I found as a lone traveller to be very unsafe. I prefer group travel. A schedule of tours needs to be set up throughout Accra hotels so that tourists have the opportunity of traveling to key sites which are costed reasonably and which tourists can afford. I felt that private travel to sites were extortionate. Overall, it was very disappointing to travel so far and not to be able to have the opportunity to see the key sites because of rip off merchants.
I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was located on the coast and at the seafront.

RussiaThe music was a bit too loud at the pool side and inside during weekends also. The wi-fi signal did not reach to my room, but I used data so it was ok. I wish I could swim in the sea also but there was too much rock.
The hotel is very nice, I like the beachfront, swimming pool, the room was spacious with the view to the ocean. The breakfast was fine, I also liked the Sunday lunch buffet. One of the things I liked most is the piano player in the evenings, he can really make atmosphere of the place

United StatesService was very slow. Some rooms were noisy, right next to residential neighborhood and places of worship that can get loud early morning and evening. Balcony furniture was so uncomfortable. No recreation options beyond small pool. Although there was an option for an in room massage. Suggest a small spa and kids play area. Also consider an infinity pool.
Great location overlooking the ocean for some rooms. Spent a lot of time in the garden. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Wi-Fi was ok but signal is boosted is some rooms only.

United KingdomThe fact that there was no running hot water in our room. Didn't make a fuss as we only discovered it very early hours in the morning, however it would have been nice not to have to take a cold shower especially after travelling from a place where we are used to hot baths and showers no matter what the weather. The rooms could do with updating as they are a bit tired. Decor needs refreshing.
The hotel is very clean! Breakfast was okay. We liked that the Chef made customised omelettes at our request. There was no fruit juice left in the dispensers when we arrived. Should have been restocked regularly. However I have no doubt that if we had asked they would have attended to it right away. The variety for breakfast was also good. It was tasty and filling. Staff were very attentive from the beginning right until the end of our stay. Very helpful and excellent service from all members of staff from the cleaner, to receptionist to waitresses in the restaurant. Love the fact that you can get a decent meal at practically any time of day! We had dinner after midnight! That was wonderful for us as we checked in after 10pm due to a late flight. 10/10 for hospitality!

CanadaThe gym was not set up when we arrived. My husband and I set most of it up ourselves and asked for help to get the elliptical machine to a working plug. There was no water cooler working in the gym and no sanitizer or wipes to disinfect the equipment before and after use although there was a sign instructing us to do so. The treadmill was out of order. The beach is gross, but that is not the fault of the hotel.
The breakfast was terrific. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. They would go out of their way to make my husband pancakes and a fresh omelette. We loved the local food selection

NigeriaThe room service prices were not the ones advertised on the menu. You have to pay an extra fee just for room service. Not enough water pressure in the shower. But this can be an isolated event. The beach is rocky and the access to it is difficult but for good reason. However, there is a sandy beach near at walking distance.
Beautiful hotel. Amazing view of the ocean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place for couples or families visiting Accra. Quite and serene environment.

AustraliaWhen I arrived at the hotel, they told me that the Room that I booked on Booking.com did not exist the way that it was described and for that price. They took me to two lesser rooms and I had to fight and eventually they gave me a room similar to the one that I booked. Actually it was an upgrade so they must have sold out on the one that I booked. The location is not next to any good restaurants or shops so best to be prepared to stay there, which was why I needed to push for the room that I booked. Also the water did not stay hot long enough to fill the bathtub with hot water.
The staff were great, the pool was nice and tables were set up to take advantage of the view.
