Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaThe curtains didn't close properly meaning when the light is on, people could see that m naked. Also there was not curtain or frosted windows in the bathroom. When having a bath with light on, tu e neighbours in the opposite sky scraper could see when I was having a bath. The gym was very small. Same breakfast everyday.

United KingdomI think there is no backup electricity in the property or it was probably faulty during my stay because on some occasions when the electricity went out, we had to wait a long time for it to be restored without any alternate source of electricity to power the fans and AC. One night, electricity went out around 2am, and wasn't restored until 7am in the morning. I couldn't sleep in that period because of the heat. I was actually agitated and I was very unhappy about that. Also, you have to pay to use the laundry facilities and for room service even if you're purchasing food from the restaurant. I don't think that should be the case
The breakfast was truly nice, I particularly liked the steamed vegetables, although it wasn't offered everyday. The room was truly truly very comfortable, that I liked the most. It is really spacious and good for anyone who just wants a quiet comfortable space. The rooms are cleaned everyday as well, so it's quite neat. The staff are a hybrid of courteous, friendly and helpful people.

FranceInternet was exceedingly unreliable. I had to leave on the second evening as it was a business trip and I needed to report. Actually the wifi was pretty good but it led to... nothing. So it's probably not their fault, unless they forgot to pay the Telco. By the way they only agreed to reimburse the last night, not the one I left on. It is fair (I came down from my room at seven telling them I had to go), but not exactly generous. The air conditioning was undersized for the room, which meant that you had time to sweat a lot before it cooled. Obviously you could also leave it on permanently, but I hate the waste in doing that. My room was literally on the slums nearby, which meant that I had to close curtains to have intimacy
Close to the business area and shops, as well as the airport: a good location if you come for work. Breakfast was minimal, but good, except for the coffee. Rooms pretty spacious (see below) but equipment pretty run down.

South AfricaI was told breakfast was at 7am...at 8.45 the dining room staff was not there. Tablecloths were not clean. Staff always loitering around the reception and there was always loud music I. The reception. The one of the sink's tap was leaking and I reported it three times. Nothing was done about it.

United KingdomThey could be more variety for the breakfast menu and the gym area could be bigger with more weights and machines. I found with the wifi, in my room the signal wasn't strong, on and off for my entire stay, but downstairs in the reception surrounding area including the breakfast area, the wifi was strong all day long throughout my stay.
It was generally quiet, peaceful at times, very spacious rooms. The hotel in general was kept very clean and tidy throughout on a daily basis including my room. I enjoyed the river view from my room window which has potential for development and with the airport only 25 minutes away and boasts many shopping amenities within walking distance including night life, Ampomaah Hotel is the ideal place to stay.

CanadaThey advertise a lot of things that they don't actually provide. The "free" shuttle service is only for pick up when you arrive, but they took 2 hours to come and get me, so I was waiting outside alone in the dark. There is no hot tub, no balcony, no terrce, no lake view, no free toiletries, no bathrobe, no coffee maker, no microwave. Breakfast was sub-par, the air conditioner was leaking and had to be serviced while we were there, they don't have fitted sheets, so you fight to keep the flat sheet flat all night long. No hot water. The room service is way too overpriced, and they charge you an extra fee to bring it up to your room. Overall pretty unimpressed. Won't stay again.
