Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyPlace is way overpriced, I would have paid maybe half the nightly rate: - safe in the room was not functional and no alternative option was provided, nor was the problem solved during our stay. - pool was only half filled with water which was brown and floating with dirt and insects, more like a pond than a pool - room wasn't cleaned during our stay (granted, we were only there for two nights, but at 70 USD / night, I would have expected daily service) - drinking water is not inclusive, which is a disadvantage as the place is quite remote - while staff is friendly they are not very attentive, you have to make requests / ask for everything that should be a basic amenity: toilet paper, a second towel, a second room key... - the draw is Bojo Beach and the semi-private atmosphere there, as a hotel guest you save the 20 Cedi for beach entrance and ferry across the lagune We came here for the beach location, but next time I would rather stay in Kokrobite and maybe do a daytrip to Bojo Beach, the hotel itself doesn't warrant a stay unless it's for the proximity to the beach
Rooms were clean, air conditioning was working, beds are comfortable.

SwitzerlandFirst of all, at 175 Dollars per night, I found the place heavily overpriced for what it is. It is a decent place, but not more. Also, there were not many guests and it seemed a bit abandoned. The staff also did not make us feel very welcome. The pool could be great, but was only half filled with water, so we did not use it. This is something another guest commented on previously.
The location is brilliant. In itself, the hotel is decent and comfortable.

NetherlandsA bit overpriced for what you're getting. Breakfast was not good, the restaurants on the beach were understocked, almost nothing on the menu was available. Would also recommend to work on some basic hospitality training for the waiting staff. For this price guests should be able to expect higher standards. The manager did ask for my feedback which i thought was great, i hope it helps to improve some of these details.
The location is fantastic and the hotel staff was very friendly, a big contrast with the waiters. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony and hot (!) showers. Very clean and nicely decorated. As a guest you get free access to the entire area which includes a beautiful strip of beach that can only be reached by crossing the river by canoe (this is an added service, no need to row yourself). If you're looking to relax in absolute serenity this is a great place to stay.

SpainOur stay at Bojo Beach Resort, anticipated to be a serene escape, rapidly devolved into a frustrating ordeal due to subpar accommodations and disappointing interactions with the staff. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a room that lacked basic cleanliness, highlighted by towels stained with yellow marks. The air conditioning, while operational, was ineffective in cooling the room, making our environment uncomfortably warm. To compound our discomfort, the room's television lacked access to DSTV, significantly limiting our entertainment options, and the bathroom's placement by the entrance door severely compromised our privacy. Our dissatisfaction with the air conditioning led to an interaction with a staff member that was particularly upsetting. When we complained, the response was dismissive, with the staff member advising us to "relax" and providing unsatisfactory reasons for the AC's poor performance. This patronizing advice was not only unhelpful but also added to our growing discontent. It was only after I threatened to leave that they reluctantly agreed to change our room, a process that should not require such measures to achieve basic guest satisfaction. Additionally, we faced issues with a malfunctioning electric door lock, which compromised our security and privacy, and a clogged basin that prevented water from draining properly. The resort's food pricing felt like a final insult, with GH70 charged for merely two pieces of kebab per stick, an exorbitant price that did not reflect the value or quality of the food. Opting to check out by 8:45 AM the following day was a relief after such a disheartening experience. Our visit was marred by poor maintenance, inadequate amenities, dismissive customer service, and a clear lack of concern for guest comfort and satisfaction. It is with regret that we share this negative review, as our expectations for Bojo Beach Resort were not met on any level.

GhanaThe receptionist is corrupted, they, tried to overcharge us the whole time, only after we asked for a bill they became afraid and the price became by half. They were also very unprofessional, always when we wanted to enter our room the key didint open itand we had to go downstairs (2 or 3 times) to ask to change the key. We had the feeling that they wanted to intimidate us. When we checked in, there were blood stains on the sheet of one of the beds, and the toilet seat was full of dried urine stains. When we said that we want fresh sheets and a desinfected toilet, they started to argue. Finally they said we should go to another room. Almost no food was available, the little they had was totally overpriced, small amounts and didnt taste at all.

United KingdomSuper disappointed in this place and actually left early after one night. Soul-less and very overpriced would be how I describe it. Ghost -town by 7pm, not the best standards. The beach is lovely but across the car park from the hotel and day pass visitors allowed. Suggest staying elsewhere and getting a day pass for the beach.
