The shower head sprayed in all directions spraying the entire bathroom and the hairdryer kept cutting out!

Staff was absolutely excellent , from checkin , porter , restaurant staff etc. Location was awesome , along with the view . Included breakfast was diverse , dinner superb !

My dinner was disappointing. The duck was too tough to eat but there was no charge. The vegan menu was very poor for my granddaughter.

The room cleaning left something to be desired, but improved for our last few days.

The staff are excellent and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful, the chef makes sure all the dishes are kept topped up, and makes excellent poached eggs on request. Lovely views across the strait from our balcony.

The turn into the drive - wow was that challenging or what?

Room was exceptional and very classy. Loved the champagne welcome . View could not be better. Breakfast choices were superb. Really enjoyed the lounge to hang out in while we awaited our transportation

The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and location and the helpfulness of the staff is supreme and you rarely see staff come across to your car in the rain with an umbrella - very British indeed. Otherwise, though, it would be worth considering at least a minor refurbishment of some of the facilities, as well as the beds could be wider. In nearby Córdoba or Seville you get much more comfort for less money.

The complimentary teapot could not be plugged into any of the outlets in the room except the shaver outlet in the bathroom. Small, small issue.

Really beautiful views of the water, city, Spain and Morocco. The room was brand new. Services and supplies were exceptional. Loved the terrace off our room!

There was nothing I didn’t like.

A classic hotel with a human touch. Comfortable room, amazing breakfast, particularly the pastries. The bar ambiance and tea on the terrace is something you can’t get from the big hotel chains.

The shower/bath combination was only average given the price point of the facility. The shower head height was not adjustable and there was no non-slip ceramic area to the bath which could be an issue for some people when getting out of the bath. Again, given the price/night some of the repainting/reforming lacked attention to detail with slightly different shades of paint having been used to cover marks on the wall.

The breakfast was very good offering both full English and 'continental' options. Dining room has a very grand atmosphere especially if dining in the evening. Room has fine architectural features to indicate the heritage of the property such as small vestibule area as you open the door and solid interior doors which appeared to be originals. As you would expect the view of Gibraltar Bay is iconic and as I had hoped for. Perfect location for climbing the Rock and walking into town. No need to use taxi or car.
