Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Germany1.) In Summer there are many mosquitos in Ilulissat. 2.) When the sun shines all day, the room can get warm. But you dare opening the windows because of the mosquitos! (Screens would help!) 3.) The bathroom in our suite was done by a designer: Nice to see but unpractical: - Not much shelf room around the sink, no shelves for soap or shampoo in the shower. - Lighting in a way that you are causing your own shadow in the mirror (not good for shaving or makeup) 4.) Curtains are not heavy enough to darken the room (not good for a restful sleep in Summer) 5.) TV has a "Netflix" Button ... but if you press it, it's "not available". 6.) Breakfast was ok, but not great. Very small selection of fruit, the scrambled eggs are really powder eggs and you can taste that. No Cappuccino or Cafe Latte, only filter cafe.
The view from the large windows over the ice fjord is great. The reception desk was nice & helpful. Good selection of drinks and snacks to buy there. The beds are very comfortable. The floor heating in the bathroom was nice. The shuttle service to the airport and to the city center is great.

United Statesthis is the best view of Disko Bay, and the best restaurant in Ilulissat, hands down. rooms are immaculate, and the staff is very pleasant. I liked the laundry services and the fact the front was able to provide stamps and shuttle service to and from the airport. I’d definitely recommend this place!

United KingdomIn the evening if you want to go to town or come back from it either you have to do a short walk along the road or get a taxi - which is absolutely fine, but worth noting.
Very scenic location just outside town. Free shuttle to and from town. Nice restaurant and bar within the hotel. Friendly staff.

SwitzerlandOutdoor rooms are not very private, if you want the view you have people walk in front of your windows Had to wait over an hour for our dinner. Some misunderstanding in the kitchen. Nothing offered to make up for the delay (a coffee or so)
Breakfast is ok. Beds are great. Shower is wonderful. The view fantastic. Food at restaurant good. Outdoor rooms are not very private, if you want the view you have people walk in front of your windows. So you better take a room on first or second floor.

United StatesWe stayed at the hotel 4 nights. We were 3 people and we booked 2 rooms. The rate we paid was around 350$ per night, per room. On the day of our departure, our flights got cancelled (due to bad weather) and rescheduled for 2 days later. As we were not checked out yet , we went to the front desk to extend our stay for 2 more nights. The front desk charged our credit cards (in the local currency) without telling us the rate. When we got to our rooms we got a message from our credit card that we just paid 500$ per room, per night. We went back to the front desk to inquire about the rate change and we were told that "the hotel increases the room prices as the market demands it". And if we cancel, they are going to charge us a first night stay (1000$). So, pretty much "we are going to take advantage of you because your flight was cancelled and you are stranded here". When we arrived back home, we did write an appeal to the hotel administration making the argument that we were already clients of the hotel, we already invested close to 3000$ for the rooms and food and we would appreciate very much if they would consider adjusting the charges to the initial amount of 350$ per room, per night. The hotel manager's answer pretty much shifted the responsibility back on us. He said it was our responsibility to ask about room price before naively handing out our credit cards. So much for rewarding existing customers loyalty!
I don't have any good things to stay about this hotel! And by the way, their shuttle is totally unreliable so stay here only if you want to walk 15 to 20 min each way to town on a busy and ugly road with no sidewalk.

Israel1. Unfriendly staff (in most cases), barely speak English. Inexperienced. 2. Sewage blockage at the shower- couldn't take a shower. Asked to move to another room- said it's not possible. Asked for a compensation- got a humiliating answer from the Hotel Manager Mr. Ulret. 3. Houskeeper didnt clean the room until afternoon- while we already returned and she disrupted us. The next day- she forgot to take garbage and to provide soaps etc. 4. The total experience is very disapointing, considering the high rates per night, varied between 2,150 to 2,350 Dkk for the same standard room B&B !
We stayed there tital 4 nights! Loved only the location and the hourly shuttle service to the city.
