The chef leaves at 7 pm. I had to find dinner outside of the lodge. This is difficult if you don't have transportation. The TV did not work. The toilet ran out of water at certain times so I could not flush it

The room had a separate bedroom and sitting room. The bed was comfortable. The AC was free to use.The breakfast I ordered was prepared when I requested and brought to my room. There is a small fridge for drinks and food storage.

Nice owners, who try their very best to make their guests comfortable. Quiet lodge and nice little pool to cool down. Close to a beautiful beach.

Just two minor points. Unfortunately the hot shower at my apartment did not work (although following the instructions). And maybe a bit more personal preference, the room is quite dark, I like it somewhat brighter (lightning is quite weak and if you are at the ground floor people will look inside if you open the curtains). But all in all a great place to stay!

The people at the lodge were super friendly and helpful! The food was excellent (best Gambian food I had during my stay). Quiet location with a swimming pool and near the beach. Great price/quality balance and super clean, really recommend this place!

I can’t think of anything within reason of the lodge. The lodge is still developing in terms of certain facilities in the room, which I know will improve gradually.

I love the staff soo much. They’re so full of genuine love and positivity. A special shout-out to Musa Farage & Nadine (The owners of the hotel) and Musa Jallow, for making me feel welcomed during my stay. You made me and my family truly content throughout our stay. I loved the cleanliness of my room, and the bugs were not much of an issue, although I do try to work with nature. It made the nights sleep more peaceful. The fan and air-con work perfectly also. Food is always cooked fresh! Which meant sometimes we had to preorder in time for preparation. I loved that.

This place exceeded my expectations. It was like an Oasis. Far away from the commercial tourist spots and not far from the beach. The area around the hotel still had that innocence of Gambia 25 years ago. Everyone was friendly, local shops nearby and safety. The hotel itself is like a oasis, the layout is fantastic for relaxing and very pleasing to the eye. The food in the restaurant was excellent and as was the wait for it in its surroundings. The rooms are the best part, total modern and clean clean clean. The room are well lite and bright the bathroom in the room we stayed was so clean you could sleep in them! And the silence at night is worth mentioning. In 25 years coming to Gambia it was pretty much the nicest place I have stayed outside of the expensive main tourist areas. But even with that in mind, the cleanliness, bright rooms and silence at night at this place over shines some of the popular places. A real good experience. I highly recommend, especially for those who have been coming to Gambia for a while.

We liked probably everything about this property :-).. Where do we start; the accommodation has a very homely feel. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. Our room was freshly painted with a great air-con and very very clean. We had a lovely sitting area with a kitchenette as well. The furnishings were very nice and the mattress was sooooooo comfortable! So were the pillows. The bed was very spacious! The place serves lovely food and non-alcoholic drinks such as Fanta, Sprite and Coke or water and they do care about every detail when the food is served. It is very near the beach. Please bring enough cash with you as the nearest ATM is about 20 mins by taxi. The property has a lovely pool in case you don’t feel like going to the beach. We totally enjoyed our stay here and special thanks to Musa and Nadine.

Beautiful villa, perfectly located (a few minutes from the market and the beach) in a somewhat underrated town (just 35 minutes from the airport). Batunkuku has amazing beaches and nice towns nearby to visit nearby. Musa & Musa are attentive, friendly and very welcoming. The kind of people that will do their best to accommodate your needs and make you feel comfortable. The pool is quite nice and clean. And the rooms well equipped and super comfortable . Aside of that, the food is quite great (best garlic shrimps with rice I've tried in a long time!).

No hot water in shower which I eventually caught a cold as I had to shower in cold water for 7 days. No bin in room, no Coffee facilities in the Room. I think the rooms could do with updating as no headboard just the wall. Perhaps put a kettle etc in the Room. Overall I had a great time there and would recommend to Friends

I loved the location 5 minutes to the Beach Famagi and Bass the Owner of the Bar does the best food especially the Butter Fish. Musa was an amazing host and catered well for me.

we were over charged for the apartment by management who were not expecting us and then said that we had only booked a room. They were proven wrong. The apartment lacked a few basic amenities such as good lighting in kitchen area, bedside lamps, a dinner table, work surfaces in kitchen, the kettle was based on the floor. The TV did not work and was not fixed before we left. We were told that the Host wanted guests to feel like they were at home and provided with everything they would have wanted at home, however when I gave feedback about amenities it was not appreciated. I was told, 'this is Africa'. Mixed messages.

Nice friendly staff, apartment was spacious, bathroom was good, bed was comfy, bar area and grounds were nicely maintained.
