Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe street outside is a bit rundown and at the end smells like urine - not the fault of the hotel and don't let that discourage you - the hotel is worth staying at for the reasons listed above.
The breakfast and ambiance are the reason to stay here. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a feast with lots of options and cooked to order, a treat every morning. The lobby has a nice artsy vibe. Our room had a small outdoor area, which was nice as it mitigated the otherwise small size - a couple of luggage racks would be a welcome addition. The bathroom was clean but small - the layout is not the best but water pressure and temperature were good. the location is good for exploring this part of town with lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby; some might be intimidated by the graffiti, but that's part of the essence of this area. The metro station is very conveniently close by.

GreeceAs is always the case with places which have been converted to fulfill other functions, they don't always completely succeed. Here it is the room sizes which are small
Funky little hotel in the midst of a very lively area. The staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was spectacular (almost worth the price alone!)

United KingdomThe only negative point I can think of is that the bathrooms could have done with more hooks or places to hang the hand, face and bath towels.
Good location. Very close to the metro station, shops and restaurants. The service from the staff was excellent - they were all very polite and spoke excellent English. The portion sizes of the breakfast were huge and very filling. We didn't even need to have lunch.

GreeceI guess this is a concept hotel so some things are different and that's good but some basic amenities you need to have in all hotels to make them inclusive for all kinds of people... Namely storage room, desk/working surface and standard breakfast When i travel want to write and paint but there was no desk in the room or quiet common space to do that After i checked out, i found out that i had to stay for one more night so i asked for a different room of the same range. To my surprise this one did have a desk and the mood of the room was lighter so i was very happy with the second room. The breakfast was not breakfast, it was brunch with lots of heavy dishes too little fresh food or substance. I don't mind the a la carte breakfast, but normally you'd have at least a couple of simple dishes like poached eggs, toast and fruit salad for the simple folk like me 😄 no beetroot pesto or basil gremolata in my breakfast please!
The staff! Everyone was kind, accommodating and attentive but with discretion! And when my travel plans changed they were ready to meet my needs! Cleanliness! The hotel is very clean and the cleaning stuff (even though i didn't met them) was very fast and efficient. The design of the hotel is fun and the vibe fits perfectly the vibe of the location - the psirri/ monastiraki neighborhood. The rooms are pretty and the bed is very comfortable with two different kinds of pillows which i appreciated (one thinner and softer and the other thicker and a bit more hard). Also the espresso machine in the room! Even though nowadays it is considered pretty much an essential in this kind of boutique hotels i will always be appreciative of it. The drinks they offered during breakfast. The coffee was amazing and the orange juice really fresh. And they had many other choices that i didn't try. Also the breakfast waiter was very chill, kind and caring!! And of course the location. A fun, interesting neighborhood with everything close, metro, plaka, acropolis, singagma, thisio, shops, food, bars, roof gardens, theatres etc

NetherlandsIt can be a bit noisy in the city-centre because of all the bars and restaurants around the hotel.
The hotel is in one word: Great. The staff is very friendly and helpful and really want you to feel at home. They are making the extra mile for you as a guest. The room is very clean and all is from high quality. Then the breakfast: a delicious variety of dishes freshly made from scratch. A personal touch and a lot of choice in drinks too. Location, price, staff: perfect!

GermanyBreakfast was a lot, but we would have prefered buffet instead of the menus, not really our taste. Seemed like most guests had a lot of food left on their plates, portions too huge, quite a waste. Rooms were really small.
Great location, close to important historic sites and inside a lively neighbourhood. Friendly statt, rooms modern.

GermanyThe only small negativ thing is for people with a light sleep. There are many bars and restaurants located around the hotel. At night it can get quite loud out there and the hotel's soundproofing could be better. But after a long say of exploring Athens it didn't bother me much.
The hotel is in a great location, right in the center of Athens, close enough to the Acropolis and a the other sights so you can walk there. The staff is amazing. Everyone is soo nice and helpful. And the best of all is the extaordinary breakfast. You get to choose from a menu (as a single person you get to choose up to 2 dishes per day), the dishes Taste amazing and are soo huge. Best breakfast I ever had in a hotel!
