How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I have no compliments.
The apartment was peaceful and the location was excellent, it was easy to walk to castle, old town, Acropolis, beach etc. The kitchen was very well equipped. We made ourselves the breakfast and enjoyed of eating it in a small terrace listening to birds singing. I can very well recommend the two bedroom apartmet to families with children.

It would have been nice to have a larger drying rack to dry laundry on. This is really the only thing I could think of that could be improved.
Everything was wonderful! Vassilis met us at the door to let us in. He provided a quick tour and let us know a little about the area. There was onsite private parking which was a MUST for this area, especially on the weekend! The beds were comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. The apartment is located close to the old city and we loved spending time there just wandering around the streets.

Vassillis is a wonderful, thoughtful, responsive host. We rented adjacent apartments for our family of 5 adults. Location is convenient to the Old Town and walkable to many historical sites, restaurants, coffee and gelato shops. The apartments were spotless with lots of storage space. In-unit laundry machines were appreciated. Vassillis greeted us on arrival (to show us amenities and nearby attractions) and stopped by to say goodbye. He even insisted on loading our luggage into his car to bring it to the bus station when we left for the airport. PS He also surprised us with a traditional New Years Cake to share!

Lack of a dishwasher, however it is not a decisive factor. Also quality of apartment wifi network was poor. Other than that the apartment was really nice.

Spacious apartment with a great location. It was very clean and tidy. The hosts are really warm people and very helpful. We even got picked up from the port! Would definitely recommend the stay.

Hanging space in wardrobes is no longer than 3/4 length throughout. Could use some full length hanging space, minor issue. Bathroom could do with a bit of an update.
Excellent Location. Centrally located ffrom East and West side of city. No more than 20min walk to Elli Beach. 5 mins walk ton Old Town. Local shops/supermarkets/bakery/restaurants within a couple of mins walk.

The apartment is spacious with 2 bedrooms and well equipped kitchen. The location is perfect, walking distance to old town and the harbor. There is a playground nearby for kids. The owner is kind and lives nearby.

Vassilis was a great host, he contacted me a week before our holiday and offered advice on where to eat, what to visit etc. which has not happened to me before, and his recommendations were great. He was also reliably available on whatsapp and communication was easy with him.

Vassilis is a wonderful host, very hospitable and is really taking care of his guests. We got a lots of information and recommendations of what to do and see in Rhodes. The communication was smooth and any answer and request we had was promptly answered. Our appartement was clean and comfortabel. If we come back to Rhodes we will definitely be looking for A&B and Vassilis.

Out apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is great, only a couple of minutes walk from the Old Town. It is perfect if you are traveling by car, as you get your own private parking spot. Vassilis is a wonderful host, very hospitable and is really taking care of his guests. We got a lots of information and recommendations of what to do and see in Rhodes. The communication was smooth and any answer and request we had was promptly answered. If we come back to Rhodes we will definitely be looking for A&B and Vassilis.

There was nothing I didn't like.
Location was excellent - only a 5-10 minute walk to the old town and also down to the port area. Supermarket close by and only a 10 minute walk. Vassilis (the owner) was excellent to deal with - very friendly and helpful - nothing was a bother.

The apartment with the big terrace is great. The house is next to a park and the old city. Vasillis is friendly and helpful.

Vey good central quiet place to stay, short walk to the old town or beach! Close to a good shop where you can find your daily things! Parking place if you rent a car for a view days! The apartment has everything you need and Vassilis the owner is a very nice friendly helpful man!

Owner was very nice and helpful. Everything was perfect! We were traveling with 3 kids, one of them is baby, so we asked for extra baby bed. It was very nice,that owner provided everything, what is needed for baby- eating chair, bed, even baby bath 🛀. He was very nice and friendly, also send us a lot of information about the house ant visiting places in Rhodes. We are very happy about everything!
