Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThe hotel needs a renovation for sure. The room was slightly small, specially the bathroom. The shower had a curtain but didn't hold much, so the water was all over the floor. If you have a car, the hotel doesn't have it's own parking space and the city has a major parking issue. The closest parking was just across the street with an additional fee of 14euros/day. I could stay again, if only the price was lower. At last it was pretty annoying every time we entered our room, the TV was starting to play the welcome intro.
Just 10min for Aristotelous sq. The Hotel is in a very central point. Breakfast was ok. Our room was facing the back of the building, so there was no noise from the street, however the noise from the corridor was significant when someone was there. Good Wi-Fi for personal use (not tested for business). Our family room had a separate room for the kids. One use slippers were available.

United KingdomRooms were not as big as I expected. It might just be our room but the air flow did not quite work effectively for us - so we had one part of the room that was cold (due to A/C) but the other part of the room was warmer. The hotel could consider providing free bottled water or coffee making facilities, or maps? (We stayed at another hotel a few days later which provided these and they were much appreciated). Coffee in the bar was very expensive. That said overall it is a decent tourist hotel, you get what you pay for, and I would consider this hotel again.
Convenient location near to shops and restaurants, plenty of cafes near by as well as supermarkets. Also set back from the busy Egnatia Street. We had a back room which was quiet with not much road sound which we appreciated. The room was clean. Ample breakfast in the morning. Good to have two separate parts to the room which meant as a family of 4 we could be together yet have privacy from the children! Safe in the room. I have been to Thessaloniki several times and really like the city - it has great vibes, nice restaurants, plenty to see, generally feels safe and the people are nice.

BulgariaThe soundproofing of the rooms is horrible, so when at 7am the staff decided to clean the rooms, we had to wake up, and the kids as well. Then some guests started leaving, and sleeping further was impossible. Also the shower is extremely uncomfortable.
Good value for money for sure, great staff, location is also quite good. Parking is 2 mins walk, so overall it was a nice stay.

United KingdomRooms were a bit dated and TV was very small.
The property was very easy to get to and located very centrally and not far from the main bar areas and the sea. The staff were excellent and very helpful and booked cabs for us which was great especially for back to the airport. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice.

AlbaniaUnfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, with stains left behind. The pillows were so uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. In my opinion, it was overpriced, considering these issues.
Good location.

CyprusThe bed layer was not very good and comfortable. Need to be changed. Also the bathroom sink was very small and the mirror above was very low with a result to head my head on it. Except the layer and sink, everything else was perfect!!
The hotel was very good with classic beauty, clean! The breakfast was very good and the staff very polite and helpful. The location is not very near to center but you can go to main street and get the bus to go less than 5 minutes.

United KingdomMy room was next to the largest lift so had noise from that. Hearing plumbing/door locks very loudly from other rooms was also a problem- one night it was so loud thought someone was entering my room. One day I returned at 3pm & room had not yet been serviced- would normally expect this to have been done in the morning. More charging sockets would be useful close to the bedside tables. Bathtub could benefit from re-enamelling or replacing.
Great location close to an airport bus stop (Kolombou) & within 20 mins walk of all main sites, railway station & vast range of restaurants. Buses to intercity bus station to go further afield also run from nearby. Set on a quiet street off the main road so external noise was minimised. Breakfast had good range of hot & cold options although limited choice of each item e.g there's coco pops or cornflakes for cereal, a couple of breads, a coule of cheeses etc. Do offer hot local pastries and some cake (Madeira type or local syrup cake), cooked eggs, bacon, croissants, fresh fruit so overall should be plenty for most tastes. Choice of orange juice, sour cherry or water if you don't want hot drinks. Friendly & efficient reception staff & happy to provide a map to help navigate around. Room on small side but well equipped- wardrobe including shelves, hangars & safe, mini bar, desk/dressing table and chair. Liked having bathtub in the bathroom.
