Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThis is my second review for this hotel, because we returned back! That is a good sign, right? I can say that everyone who was working at the hotel was smiling and helpful all the time. We really like the facilities, and breakfast was good. Hotel is quite new and well equipped. Bed was really comfortable. Location is also really good. Really close to the port of Thessaloniki, we took ferry to visit one island, we just walked to the ferry. Hotel is located at the main street. It was easy to catch the bus to visit places. And also coming back from almost anywhere in Thessaloniki was quite an easy task. Overall really good hotel with amazing people! Thanks for everyone! Highly recommended!

MaltaBreakfast leaves much to be desired. Quality of items is very low. They should invest in better products and not charge for capuccino. I would stay again if I wouldn't have to pay for breakfast.
Room in general. Aircondition was really good. Great Room!

SwedenThe imperial plus hotel is a quiet, safe, helpful and smart choice to stay at when visiting Thessaloniki. The rooms are all cleaned to the highest standard and feature smart TVs and smart curtains. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning perfect and the shower in the bathroom was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Breakfast is great and gives you all the energy you need for whatever you have planned. An extra thank you to Marios on the reception who was exceptional at his job and helping us out with whatever we needed, thank you!

United KingdomNo teabags or kettle provided in the room, only coffee machine. Lovely view from the skybar, but it is run separately from the hotel and they won't let you stay there unless you buy drinks. We couldn't figure out how to use chromecast/netflix on the smart TV but mirroring phone screen worked to watch movies.
Amazing breakfast, catered well for meat eaters and also for vegetarians. Pastries, fresh fruit, spinach and feta pie, Greek salad, vegetable omlette/scrambled eggs, cereal. Very modern, clean and comfortable room with big TV. Location was the best, all the sights were walkable distance. Bus X1 takes you directly from the airport to the bus stop outside the hotel.

United KingdomI went to the skyline bar one evening not a soul to be seen, so went to a street vendor and had a beer in my room instead. One morning at breakfast I saw a waiter clean a table and on a plate was a boiled egg not eaten, the waiter then put the boiled egg in his apron pocket, went to the kitchen to drop the plates off, then walk out to the buffet bar with the egg in his hand and put it back in the bowl. On my last night there was a thunder storm and the hotel had a power cut, this was a rolling power cut so kept going on and off, when the power restored it kept turning all my lights on in the room. Not ideal in middle of night, so had a very bad sleep last night, but that wasn't the hotels fault.
Very good location, nice big clean room. Perfect for what I needed. Breakfast was good. You can't go wrong with this place.

TurkeyAircondition. This year I accomodated in this hotel first in Feb. At that time everything was perfect. We of course didn’t need aircontion at that time of the year and room temprature was perfect. However now in June we had difficulties in fixing the room temperature. During the night it was very hot when we closed it and very cold and loud when we opened. Although it seemed as if we could manage the temperature on our own, it was not functioning. So I would recommend this hotel for winter times, buy not for summer.
Central location. Clean. Breakfast was o.k

SloveniaThe smart installation in the room is clearly over-engineered and therefore it was confusing for me (and I know what smart house is..). There are too many switches and typical use is "just press those buttons until the right light goes on". Also the shades went up automatically when I inserted my smart car in the socket... In my colleagues room the door only closed when really pulled strong and that was so loud that a neighbour complained. My colleague complained but the answer was "just pull the door stronger" (the door has to be fixed by a maintenance guy). Surprisingly if not embarrassing at checkout the receptionist wanted to charge drinks from the minibar despite none of us used the minibar.
The hotel is very conveniently located at the Egnatia road, which gives you easy walking access to the north and south of it (port and promenade) and all the restaurants in the neighbourhood. For any other location there is swarm of taxis cruising the city 24/7. The breakfast is excellent, great variety, there is everything and you can't eat all you wanted... The rooms have smart installations like lighting scenarios.
