Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Location was excellent for touring Athens. The breakfast was very simple. Hard boiled eggs, breads, meats & cheese, cereal. It had enough protein to start the day.

United StatesThere is a flight of stairs to even get to main lobby area and a flight of stairs to get to the breakfast bar area. While there is a small elevator, one must note you still need to climb 1 flight to even enter the property to being with. I would have benefited from a tad more storage space of some sort in both the bedroom and bathroom. Perhaps at least 1 more desk or shelf in the main bedroom, and at least 1 shelf in the bathroom would have been helpful for at least a toothbrush and face wash.
Location is perfect. This hotel is somewhere to lay your head rather than somewhere to hang out and spend time yet and for that purpose it was great. The view from the top of the Acropolis is fantastic. Staff were all friendly and everything about the property is it all got the job done - but no added luxuries so keep your expectations accoridingly.

IsraelWe arrived as a couple with a 17-year-old girl, we were cramped in one room, the shower was outdated and the food at breakfast was unappealing
Exceptional location, short walking distance from the pedestrian street/Pleka/Acropolis. A bar on the roof of the hotel with an amazing view of the Acropolis.

The staff was exceptionally helpful in arranging transportation to and from the airport and from the ferry port in Piraeus. The hotel is conveniently located on a quiet side street on the north side of the Plaza, and the breakfast room and bar are located at the rooftop with a good view of the Acropolis.

United KingdomThe breakfast was very sparse. No pastries and just one cake. Only one jam ,(cherry) The choice of tea bags was very poor as well. They did have fresh oranges at a cost of €4 each! That said, I haven't marked them down because of the breakfast as it is only a two star hotel and is probably similar to others the same.
Really clean room and lovely spacious balcony. They upgraded us to a room on the 4th floor with views of the Acropolis for an additional €20 cash. The breakfast room on the roof gives even better views.

United StatesNothing really. Room a little on the small size but typical of most European 2 star hotels.
Nice location. Easy walk to main attractions. Clean and comfortable. Nice roof to terrace where breakfast was served and to have a drink while looking out at the Acropolis. Lots of places to eat nearby.

United StatesThe elevator was slow so we always took the stairs from the lobby(floor zero) to floor 2. They still use traditional keys. You must turn in the key when you leave the facility.

United KingdomThey're only minor things - I was in the single room on the first floor and the bathroom was VERY small and there was a smell coming from the drains at night. There's no full length mirror in the room. But I would 100% stay again.
This hotel is a little hidden gem. The breakfast area/evening bar has a view of Acropolis. The continental breakfast was lovely - Greek yogurt, honey, boiled eggs, breads etc. The staff were incredible, the reception is 24hr, check in was easy, they can store luggage if required and you leave your room key with reception when you pop out so I had no stress about losing it! The location was no more than 10 minutes away from all the major landmarks, restaurants and Syntagma Square which takes you directly to/from the airport so no need for taxis.

United StatesThe elevator is very small - - but hey, at least it has a working elevator! - - which is more than can be said for many European hotels. The breakfast was good. But, a little bit more variety might have been nice.
The location is very convenient to the Plaka district. It is in a clean and safe neighborhood, and it is an easy walk to the Acropolis and local museums. The view of the Acropolis from the rooftop cafe is amazing. And, it is a good value. We will stay there again the next time we visit Athens.
