Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe bed could have been a bit firmer and the water pressure was a bit low. We also didn’t have any hot water on our last night, however, the staff explained us that it was related to the electricity and sometimes it didn’t work properly in the area.
We loved the location and the staff! The hotel was facing the sea and had 2 swimming pools, it was gorgeous! We were welcomed by Thelemaque who happens to be the chef as well. He was extremely friendly from the start and showed us all the hotel facilities. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel where Thelemaque cooked homemade Greek dishes and it was very good! The room was nice and cozy, and very clean. We would recommend the property for sure!

FranceThe view from the hotel is amazing. Although the hotel seemed fully booked, we almost had the pool to ourselves. The staff was very kind and helpful.

GreeceThe very narrow and squeaking stairs. The elevator that I was advised not to use. The kitchen smell dominating the floor above the kitchen itself. The lack of any kind of soundproofing: In the room I could perfectly hear: the neighbor singing in the bath through the common bathroom ventilation pipe, the hotel manager from downstairs talking to the cleaning ladies outside my room (door closed of course), people coming in and out and shutting the doors of their rooms, people coming up and down the squeaking stairs. The balcony had no table and chairs, but 2 benches attached to the balcony edges. If you sit on the first, you turn your back to the sea view, if you sit on the second you face a stone wall in a 1-2 meter distance. The lack of a shower curtain.
The location and the sea view. The kind gesture of the hotel management not to charge a coffee and two bottles of water.

GreeceI would have been very happy if this was described as a small hotel, rather than as a 4* resort and was priced accordingly. But with the description resort and the price paid, value for money is not there. Very annoying that there is 0 delay in cutting off power when you remove the key, and that the refrigerator does not stay on. Breakfast at 10 euro per head is expected to be plentifull, not a waiter mentioning some choices (I understand there was a buffet before Covid, but others have found solutions, like a printed breakfast menu where you can tick what you need prepared). There should be more pictures or a better description on beach accessibility (=0).
Overall a nice stay if you are interested in a very quiet, very remote location, with nearest worthwhile beach 20 minutes away. Good aesthetics in all hotel details, matching the environment and the "promise" of seclusion. Staff is working hard to satisfy guests. Food at good quality, something which is needed for dinner as there are low quality restaurants in the area and most not even open at night.

BelgiumUnfortunately, we couldn’t operate our air conditioning unit and slept poorly (mid September, inside temperature reached 30 Celsius. ) Nobody returned our phone calls. The staff offered the breakfast as a compensation.
Very nice hotel located in a beautifully designed house. Excellent location, pool etc.

United KingdomNothing was particularly "wrong" with the place, but I believe someone can find better value for money accommodation near the area than this hotel.
It's quite of a decent place, but the expectation we had from the pictures provided unfortunately didn't meet our requirements. Everything looks a bit bigger in the pictures that it actually is in real life. The room was quite clean, but quite small as well. And overall our stay was nice, but I don't think we would pick that place to stay again, as it felt too expensive for what in the end was provided as an overall experience.

FranceThe rates are those of a luxury hotel but besides the view, many things are just average : the services in the room (very noisy fridge, IKEA furnitures, no baby cots) and the restaurant is clearly below average : the quality of the breakfast and meals is very low. Definitely the rates are too high for the quality, we spent very good time in Greece in much cheaper and more welcoming hotels.
The view is splendid and the staff quite nice

ItalyThe room was big enough but it didn't seem clean. In the bathroom kit, specifically in the conditioner, I found the hair of the previous guest. I asked the staff to change twice it but they didn't. Due to covid policy, the hotel did not clean the bedrooms and did not make the beds (we were provided the sheets to make the bed ourselves...). I did not like this policy, especially because in all the other hotels we have been to in Greece they cleaned the bedrooms daily. The bedroom was quite noisy too: the fridge switched on and off continuously waking us up and we could hear voices and footsteps of other guests due to the moving wooden floor. The wifi in our room did not function very well. The pool service was quite disappointing too: they seemed to have not much staff because the waitress left the garbage and glasses of previous guests for hours near the sunbeds. Safe for one very kind dark-haired girl who booked for us a table because our phones were unable to connect, the staff did not speak very good English and couldn't understand us very well. Free parking means leaving the car on the road in front of the hotel.
The position of the hotel, the breakfast, and the view from the room.

GreeceThe hotel is not good value for money. Too expensive for what it offers. The bedroom where we stayed didn’t have the facilities mentioned, breakfast (which was not included) was poor. It’s situated in a very remote , isolated area, far away from any landmarks, restaurants sights etc.
The view from the hotel is great.
