Not a huge minus, but the pool wasn’t heated.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, had all of the essentials. The buffet offered interesting and enjoyable foods. Loved the staff - very friendly and helpful.

We were there with our 10 and 8 year old children. The resort is family friendly but surprisingly there was no lifeguard on duty at the pool. Our kids can swim but this was unexpected. Furthermore, after a long day of touring we'd have been happy to let the kids watch TV for a while, while we rested. The only English language channels were CNN and BBC News, and there were no children's channels at all.

We arrived and were welcomed with a drink at the bar. Mary at the reception desk upgraded us to nice suites. The suite was comfortable and clean. The bedroom was nicely sized and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower had excellent water pressure. The bathroom door was semi transparent which freaked the kids out a little when the light was on! The pool was perfect and cool and the children enjoyed it tremendously. The quiet beach is literally across the road which was also a huge advantage. The overall location was perfect for our needs. We had a car but there are bus stops nearby. The location is 30 mins from Rhodes town, Lindos and the airport.

Poor access for tv programs only German station’s, should be more English language stations, and more music program’s, air conditioning slow working needs long time to cooling off all apartments , towels and sheets should be at least twice a week exchange, this is 5star hotel! And 2 key cards should be two nod only one.

The hotel is a 25-minute drive from the entertainment centers and the Old Town.It is highly recommended to rent a car or motorcycle to get from place to place comfortably

shampoo/soap was not provided every day, wellness was closed, not much to do around on walking distance, drinks not included in dinner (at least water should be included I think)

Booked half board, quality and choice of food was great, only issue was the temperature of the hot buffet, it was more luke warm which was a little off putting.

Afandou Bay Resort Suites is excellent value for money if you’re looking for a 5 star stay. The resort of tucked out the way from major tourist areas so is quiet and the need of transport is highly recommended (as cabs are expensive). Faliraki and Rhodes Town are 15-30 mins away respectively). The food at the resort is buffet style but very good. Staff are friendly, approachable and only happy to help. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Only gripe is the residence next door has a dog that barks very early but no big deal. Located on the very long Afandou beach, the pool area has a good size cafe/bar, plenty of loungers and good size pool. All in all, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend :)

Some restaurant habits simply did not work. If you ask for a cup of tea at the breakfast table, it will take a while from the waiter to get the cup of hot water. Then you have to find somewhere the teabags. Simply let people to take their hot water when they need it. The same with coffee, you have to find cream and sugar from the buffet table.

Covid restrictions at buffet restaurant were applied well. Masks are mandatory and plastic gloves when you pick up food.

First of All, merry from the reception was so helpful, kind and friendly that we felt like we are at home. The service of the hotel regarding car rental and etc. Is better than the airport office. Great location, great breakfast and so many swimming pool. We will be back!

We wished the exercise facilities were open or at least we could have been given advanced warning of the fact it was closed due to covid. Not quite sure why it was closed when all restaurants and bars were open. Also slightly concerned that anyone can walk up from the beach and use the hotel pool without any staff questioning them. This only happened a few times (from what I saw) but it is very easy for public to walk up to the hotel from the road and take a pool bed no questions asked.

Superb friendly staff very accommodating and helpful - particulary Mary, in Reception, & Christina in the Main Pool bar and Nico in Mouro bar. Our cleaner came in every day and did a fantastic job -she seemed to be cleaning the entire hotel on her own and she was always very helpful with new towels and whatever else we required for the room. We loved the quietness of the hotel, the fact there weren't many children at the hotel and that it was mainly booked by German guests and not many Brits at all... It's location is superb with Afandou beach right opposite the hotel (the longest and cleanest beach in Rhodes) with superb local restaurants and the quaint town of Afandou 10 minutes away by car (20 mins to walk). This is a very local area and not too touristy at all so you can find some lovely tavernas within walking distance. Katholiki and Fresco are fantastic and great value for money. Rhodes is about 25 mins away by taxi (33 euros one way).

Rooms were generous and with a sea view. All staff in particular Head Waiter were very friendly and accomodatiing. The Reception staff were also very helpful in providing tips such as excursions, car rental or data mobility. The Location is also very quite and secluded and an onsite mini market as well. Definately come back again.
