We had a spa tub in the bathroom and found the combination of heat from the tub and the chlorine smell unpleasant. You can avoid this by booking a room with an outdoor spa. Other than this we would definitely stay again. It is worth noting that you would likely get better views of the caldera if you are on the lower side of the path to Oia, but those hotels will have a lot of steps whereas access to the Akra Suites is super easy, a 2 minute level walk from the taxi drop off point.

The location is very good looking out over the caldera. It was good being in Imerovigli which is a 20~30 minute walk from Fira. Fira was noisy and not very pretty so it is better to stay in Imerovigli. The property is beautifully maintained with nice gardens and we made good use of the pool. There are good restaurants nearby although all Santorini prices are elevated compared to other parts of Greece, including other islands. It is definitely a 5 star resort and a great place to relax.

Akra Suites was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The staff were attentive and accommodating to all of our needs. The breakfast choices were numerous and the food was delicious. Sitting by the pool made me feel like I was on a movie set, it was so perfect.

The location is rather windy. There is a public parking a bit further and a private one nearby. The jacuzzi in the room makes the room smell chlorine (I have noticed it in other hotels too, it is an observation).

Located in Imerovigli the hotel has a nice view of the volcano/caldera. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes to walk to go Fira where most of the restaurants/shops are. If you are into hiking you can take the trail to Oia. A bit windy location. Breakfast was served at the hotel restaurant with superb view.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The staff was super super friendly and the receptionist Georgia was super helpful and nice and gave us great tips! We had the suite with the outdoor hot tub which was ideal for a relaxing evening after a day of activities. The only thing though is that the tub doesn’t get very warm if the weather is too windy on the island.

The smell of the jacuzzi inside the room was very strong even when the door was closed.

The reception Georgia was wonderful. The staff that helped with luggage and the lady who does cleaning were both cheerful and hardworking.

I cannot say enough good things about Akra, the quality, craftsmanship, cleanliness, comfort, staff, friendliness, helpfulness, deliciousness, perfect location and view, if you are looking at the as a choice, stop thinking about it and book it quickly!!! Our breakfast and coffee each morning was delicious, the communication pre arrival was so kind and helpful, especially Georgia 💕 our room, #204 was exactly as pictured and was as crisp and clean as you could ever want, the bed is firm, but we slept wonderfully. Our only disappointment that was no one’s fault but the Gods of wind 💨 was that our hot tub couldn’t keep up and stay warm during the unseasonably windy chilly dip in temperatures, so we are looking forward to returning again and would definitely stay in the exact same place! The staff is so helpful to arrange anything you ask, they are like family, so kind and friendly 💕 thank you Akra for a wonderful introduction to Santorini!!

We had a great experience at Akra Suites. Amazing and helpful staff and the place was well maintained, clean and chic. The girls in the reception (georgina) were kind and professional and solved all our issues brilliantly. The service was amazing . bartenders-kills by (Zisis) was outstanding he was kind entertaining person. The housekeeping facilities provided by staff (Ria) was amazing. With brilliant views over the caldera our suite was gorgeous and spotless ! Highly recommended

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Staff was great (Georgia (the manager) runs a tight ship! She is very kind and welcoming and is always aware of all the happenings of the resort- I was so impressed! The cleaning lady (I did not catch her name) was a sweetheart. Zesis (works at the restaurant) was one of the kindest people we have ever met! The room was lovely- clean, and new. Quiet and peaceful. Great area to be in tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Fira or Oia but still closeby. We visited during off season so did not use the pool or out door hot tub (it was too cold and windy) but they looked amazing and would have loved to try them. Overall we had a great stay and would love to come again. Also be sure to arrange for pick up from the airport- same price as Uber and the driver was great and met you as soon as you arrived!

The view was simply amazing. The breakfast duo team was so friendly, polite and accommodating. We got the best room and thanks to the front officer girl who checked us I. Strongly recommend to stay here if you are visiting Santorini. Next door there is a bar and the owner is a lovely gentleman with his dog and extended family. The staff there also was perfect.

We loved everything about Akra Suites! It is easily accessible from the main road, the rooms are so comfy, the windows tip open so you can get a fresh breeze any time, we had a sunset view from one side of our room and a sunrise view from the other side. Complimentary breakfast is served with a gorgeous view of the caldera, and the food is delicious. And Georgia, at the front desk, is amazing! She answered all of our questions, booked a sunset cruise for us, and was always there with a smile on her face. You will not be disappointed if you stay at Akra Suites! Also, Imeravigli is the perfect place to stay, right between Fira and Oia, it has the same beauty without all of the crowds.
