The room doors are noisy when you close them - bang. Would be good to have just the wifi password in the room but it’s also downstairs.

This hotel is excellent value right on the beach. A small balcony, cool breeze or air con and go to sleep to the sound of the waves. Beds on the stone beach and a fantastic tavern downstairs with friendly staff - we ate their every night delicious and no need to drive. Lots of local people eating there but noise not an issue because the door blocks it out.Good wifi once I realised the password wasn’t the password in the photo but the key number. The rooms are basic but clean with a fridge and kettle and you can ask the staff for anything. We heard someone moaning next door but if you want a luxury hotel pay triple the price. You can walk straight out onto the beach and eat 5 star food for a tavern price - it’s brilliant and we loved it.

There was not hot water. They told us that the system was broken. This was the only but from my point of view quite a big problem. The location is in front of the sea, but is quite isolated, far away from shops. Only by car!

The description is a bit off. This is really a few rooms they rent out over a restaurant. The photos were accurate and we were happy there. Communication is challenging but in person the people are very nice. Booking.com stated free airport shuttle, which is wrong. It’s a long way from the airport, so there’s a 60e + charge.

We booked the larger room to have the balcony facing the ocean. Great view and breeze. The breakfast is not included in the price but for 10 e it is well worth it!

Very good location right on the beach 2 km from Kissamos. An intimate facility for those who want to relax in silence. Very nice hosts, always helpful, rooms clean and cleaned daily. On the ground floor there is a taverna where you can eat tasty.

Staying at this place was a good experience for the kind people who welcomed us and also because its close to the centre of kissamos and to reach the best beaches of the area (balos, elafonissi and falasarna). A big plus: the balcony on the sea, where we could enjoy the sunrise and the sunsets

Almost everything in the room was either heavily worn or partially broken. There was no warm water in the morning. In my opinion too expensive for what you get. The view doesn't justify the cutbacks in comfort.

I must say this was my first bad experience in Crete. The owner of Akrogiali told us that Booking has made a mistake and the room that we booked and prepaid online for two nights, from 30 September to October 2nd (Friday to Sunday, that actually had seaview) was actually booked from Saturday to Sunday. She offered a lesser room for the second night, which we initially accepted although a downgrade. Then… the internet was not working, we couldn’t pay via credit card for our meal at their restaurant and had to take a trip of 10 km to an ATM and drive back to pay it, they did not offer any showergel or shampoo, there was an air conditioner but they did not provide the remote for it. The icing on the cake came in the morning when the cleaning lady woke us up and basically evicted us from the room early, because she had to prepare it for the other guests. The night before I actually asked the owner when do we need to move and she said whenever we are prepared to go to the beach. Apparently they were expecting us to go to the beach at 9 in the morning. Very annoyed we decided to leave and asked for a refund.
