The location was wild and spectacular, clean rooms and amazing views. It was as we expected it would be and the staff were very friendly. Our dog was also welcome, with no extra charge. We will visit again.

Apart from general isolation, information on Booking.com "5 minutes to the beach" is correct, but on the way back it is more like 15 minutes, very up-hill on the steep road...

Unusual place - lone house on the rock 100m above the sea, on the coastal road, great view but quite isolated, nothing else nearby - going to shop or restaurant requires car or a long walk. Good for people looking for complete chill-out. Helpful owner, room was OK. Windy place - absolutely no car or other human noise, but we could hear wind blowing in the night.

The shower has no cabin neither a curtain and no hanger. Very uncomfortable to use.

The view from the balcony is amazing and the owner offered also the access to a private beach.

We stayed here during the huge summer winds(meltemi) and they make a huge sound when blowing against the building, but that is not the fault of the owner and wasn't a problem for us really, just something to keep in mind if your sleep is easily disturbed by sound.

The view in almost every direction was a-ma-zing. We almost did not want to leave the hoise in the morning , just eat breakfast on the balcony and enjoy the view. You also get a private beach. A great stay if you don't like the rush of the city and a lot of people.

quite hard beds

Lovely location on a remote rock cliff with an excellent view of the sea, mountains, sunrise, and sunsets. Small garden with benches to sit on and enjoy the view, especially in the evenings, when it was cooler. Small private beach with tamarisk trees to hide from the sun. We spotted flying fish on the sea bottom! Small kitchenette with basic equipment. Balcony with sea view and table. Very friendly and helpful hostess. In the village - nice taverns with delicious local cuisine and good public beaches with sunbeds and umbrellas.

The location is absolutely stunning, perfect to relax and enjoy nature. We were there for the full moon and it was incredible. Even though it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, only a 10min drive in either direction you will find tavernas, beach bars and great beaches. Also mini market and bakery for all your shopping needs. A ten minute walk you will reach a private beach which is beautiful. Natalia and family are wonderful, very helpful and kind. The room is spacious with everything you need to cook with, room clean and great private balcony. You can relax in the garden area over looking the sea, which is incredible. You can watch my video to get a little glimpse and feel for the place. We will be back for sure! Thank you Natalia for a great stay.

The views were just unbelievable! Natalia was kind enough to take us to Plakias by car many times. The place was super clean and the room was very big. The private beach was just unreal!

The view from the balcony is unbelieveable ! The studio is good equiped and perfect clean. Natalia is a very nice and friendly person. There is the total silence. You hear no cars, no planes, no boats. Only the sea. Perfect for a relaxing stay.

Everything was great. The road to the hotel was pretty challenging (but because Google maps suggested such a route). My advice - build the route from Rethimno through Plakia.

Akropolis is an ideal location for people who are looking for some break in a place without crowds. The hotel is situated on a cliff and has a stunning view. We also went to the private beach (better wear some sport shoes since you will be going through the rocks).
