Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyOverall I would invest in better quality food at the buffet and possibly in a dinner service that is a la carte. Location is 10 minutes drive from Porto Heli so if you don't have a car, be prepared in spending some money on taxis.
The private beach was lovely, as well as the view from our balcony. The hotel is what you would expect: a huge structure designed for family vacations - in fact, even though we've visited around end of September, there still were a few visitors in groups and with kids. The rooms are smaller than I expected and some services normally offered by 4 Stars hotels aren't available ( no mini bar e.g. ) but overall it was fine. The rooms were cleaned daily. Staff was polite and overall welcoming.

GreeceSome instructions on how to reach local attractions were confusing. There were many options to reach Spetses and I didn’t understand all the pricing. But once we got to Kosta for the ferry it became clear..
Beautiful setting, great pool and beach area. View from balcony was magnificent. Breakfast buffet was e Elena and varied.

GreeceBAD WINDY AND NARROW ROADS, from athens to Hinitsa Bay, it is a 2.5-hour drive, and the 1.5 hours were dangerous curves with overtaking. We suggest guests should be informed that they can take a ship to Porto Heli and a taxi which is 10 min to hinitsa, as if you are not informed, it can be dangerous and a trip damper. The mng buffet was the same all five days, and the evening was different but not amazing. luch was not up to standard either.
The swimming pool, the view, the staff, facilities ie good bed and shower.

JapanAs above.
The location is great and the beach is well looked after. One day there was a turd in the pool and had to be closed for extra cleaning 💩 but service was restored fast. Breakfast buffet was very good and always replenished. Restaurant staff very polite, reception staff not so much! The hotel itself is tired but very well maintained. Shame it’s closing soon for redevelopment.

SerbiaThe road to this beautiful location is tiring. Until the moment you actually see the location you feel like you are lost in the nowhere.
I liked the beach. It was not crowded, you can have your privacy. The sunbeds on the grass are great - you don't feel the heat. The tennis courts are also lovely. The stuff is super polite. The receptions seem rude, though, but I think they just have a great sense of humor (when I talked to them I felt I was in White Lotus, Season 1) :-D The restaurant is also very clean, with variety of dishes. It has got a great balcony with a great view. There's a small restaurant near the pool where the lunch is served from 1-4 pm (it's open after breakfast till 4 pm) and a beach bar with snacks.

GreeceWe paid for inclusive.. the breakfast is average, it has a lot of options, but all of them taste indifferent! The dinner, is below average, i'm sorry to say, i don't qualify as an expert to judge if it's because the raw materials, or the cooking process, but if they put a little more effort, i'm confident the results would have been much much better!!
Location is excellent, the view is magical, there's a little gulf with clear blue waters, and you can travel to Spetses which is the (big) island you see from the front of the hotel! The little island called Hinitsa, hence the name of the Hotel, is a natural wave crusher offering always calm sea's. There are 2 tennis courts, a 5X5 soccer field, a summer volleyball pitch, playground for kids, and a basketball if you want to make some shots!!

GreeceThe food was good with good and generous portions. But the A la Carte menu could be shuffled or have variations. With a toddler, we tend to opt for a meal within the hotel, but the options were limited for lunch and dinner that we kind of got bored of it after 2 meals. But those who chose half board / buffet probably had better options!
The facilities were great. The beach was so good and sandy. The pool was also a nice facility to have for the afternoon, especially with an active toddler, he would just jump into the kid’s pool and play with water. The children’s playground as well was a good facility to have! Clean, very well maintained hotel. Check in & out was quick. Breakfast buffet was satisfying, with lots of options!
