How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was perfect, the hosts were extremly nice and accomodating. The apartment was very clean, the bathroom was amazing and we really loved the big terrace. It’s close to the beach and to everything you need in the city. I definitely recommend this place, it exceeded our expectations. Bonus points for the very cure dog that was staying with the owners of the apartments. We really liked him as well.

VERY CLEAN! Hospitable hosts! Perfectly situated in a quiet downtown area, close enough to the beach and next to the supermarket! Comfortable room: the air conditioning, window blinds and mosquito nets create a cosy atmosphere, while the quichinette is an excellent extra-space! Private parking nearby! Later check-out!

Apartment was very large with a balcony. It was fully equipped and it's cleaning was done every day with also new towels. Toilet was super clean and modern. Location was excellent with close to center, but quiet for sleep and also had a private parking. Love the acqablue apartments and would definitely visit again!

Everything was perfect! Highly recommended place to stay! Very hospitable hosts, extremely clean, wonderful beds! The two rooms apartment is amazing :)) The sheets are changed very often, everything is spotless clean! Thank you do much and hope to visit you again soon!

Excellent apartments, close to the shops, beach, town. exceptionally clean and well maintained. Lady cleaned it every day and every second day she changed bed sheets and put fresh towels. Internet was available throughout the room and balcony, which is not what we experienced before in other places we've been. The hosts were very nice people and if we needed something they acted promptly. (We were missing frying pen in our room and when I asked, landlord arranged one in straight away). Parking was available.

There was nothing negative to share.
Excellent customers service and hospitality overall. The hosts were very helpful with assisting us with late arrival to the property, the bed was very comfortable, room was very clean and it was nice to have some small touches such as: Nespresso maker with capsules provided and a complementary bottle of wine.

The location of the house is very quiet. The house is right in the centre of Kalithea - you have a big supermarket 3 minutes walk away and a mini market in the street behind. To go to the beach you only have to walk a few minutes and you are there! The restaurants and bars are on the same street but a bit further down - just a 3 minute walk and you are in the centre of Kalithea. The hosts are the sweetest people ever - this couple are so kind and always available for anything you need or want! We highly recommend this place!

Family run, sparkling clean and spacious apartment in Kallithea, very close to Kallithea beach and the city center. Apartment has everything you need. Staff was also genuinely friendly after a busy season. Book here guys you will thank me later.
