Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIn the night it could be a bit noisy from outside. Also, the bed linen could be renewed.
The location was nice, close to the seaside but also to the center. A supermarket was also nearby. The employees of the hotel were very friendly and welcoming.

TurkeyI have to say that my expectations are generally low since I only use hotels to sleep during my short-term touristic visits. Since I went there in February, I cannot write about summer conditions, but as far as I can see the a/c start to run late. The locations of the sockets were not very accessible (in my opinion). The fridge is right in front of the balcony and facing the window. In summer, direct sunlight can affect the energy efficiency and potentially shorten the functional lifespan; so, wouldn't it be better to change the location of the fridge and the drawer with the help of an extension cable?
Even though I arrived late, the staff helped as much as they could. It was a smoking room (not because of the smell, I saw the ashtray in the drawer.) but also was the room with the best view. (402) The room has a mini fridge, there are two chairs and a table on the balcony, and they provide slippers.

United StatesWe arrived later and parking was a major issue. We were able to find a spot but it took a while and required getting up early in the morning to move the car. The AC took a while to catch up with the room and it is quite loud.
The location is great and makes getting to the restaurants in town very easy. It is a little further from the port than some places if arriving by ferry but the value of this place makes it worth it. They were very kind and helpful at the front desk.

United KingdomRoom, furniture, bathroom was quite old. However it was okay for someone over 50 like me that is not looking for Lux.
It was a nice and clean hotel. The staff was friendly. The location was in between the beach and city centre which was a good option for me. I had a balcony with a sea view.

ArmeniaBathroom needs to be renovated.
Breakfast can be more varied, but anyway it was very fresh, location of the hotel is excellent it is about 20 minutes walk to the Harama beach, 15 minutes to the city center, very clean, that means that staff cleans the room and change towels every day, sheets in a day. The main important thing is the staff I highly appreciate to receptionist Roula, who is very helpful, polite and kind person. She did all the best to provide requested needs of the gest and support them. Thanks a lot for such kind of professional approach.

GermanyI was going for a conference, once I arrived to the hotel i found out i am infected with Corona, so I had to quarantine there for 4 days, the staff were incredible with providing all what i need, they were very helpful and nice, let me feel safe there. They were all the time telling me " dont worry, you are not alone, we are here if you need anything". Also, they are good with email communication, even after you leave if you need sth and send them, they would make sure that you got what you need.

TurkeyThe minuses come from pluses. The night bar under the balcony works till.... very late. So, if you have the intention to go to sleep early, do not ask for the room with the sea view. Otherwise, prepare yourself for the night party. Showcabin size is very small, it requires some flexibility to fit in.
I absolutely liked the location. It is more or less close to everything in the city. I came and night and was a bit worried about how can I get to the hotel, but it was very easy by simple walking. The hotel staff is friendly, they all speak English and look forward to help. The room is very clean. Nice breakfast. It is a few steps away from nice restaurants for lunch and dinner and beach bar.

PortugalThe sound isolation was not the best. It was possible to hear some noises from the corridors and from the street.
The location of the hotel is very good, it is near the center in a calm neighbourhood. The staff was very kind and helpful whenever I needed something during my stay. The breakfast had a good selection and everything I tried was great. In addition, there was also soft music playing during breakfast, creating a very relaxing environment.

GreeceThe shower cabin was a bit small and the wi-fi was of really poor connection. In fact I was not able to be connected for more than half an hour each day without been disconnected.
Nice appartments near the sea and the city center. Easy for the visitor to go around the city. Near bus station. The breakfast was pretty good with not much variety but quite tasty choices.

BulgariaThe GPS is not well working as the street signs are changed, it was hard to find it in the night, but that's not the hotel's fault.
Very comfortable hotel for one night stay, close to the ferry port, and just one step from the main seaside promenade with all restaurants and cafes. Everything was great! Parking lot reserved for us in front of the hotel. Nice balcony and a great pizza restaurant 1 min away.

Germany-the air condition does not work properly. -you share the balcony with other rooms, without a big separator. I had some american people laughing and being loud until 03.00 in the morning on the balcony, sleeping was very difficult. -there is an open roof bar right next to the balconies, so the music and the noise all night are very hard to accept.
The staff was amazing and very helpfull.

DenmarkThe plastic furniture on the terrace was rather dirty, so I had to use a towel to sit on the chair.
