Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesSuch a nice and sweet place. We loved our stay there with our 2 kids. Great restaurant around the corner and we had a bit trio organised by Alters Vita. Highly recommend. It’s a family run place and everyone was super helpful and kind. The breakfast was nothing less than exceptional. New elements each day and great quality produce. Marmalade made from ingredients in the garden, homemade cake every morning. Would definitely recommend and also come back again.

GermanyAlterra Vita was the best choice we could make for our holiday this year. The atmosphere was very nice. We had a feeling that we were visiting friends. The house is so beautiful with many thoughtful details. We very much enjoyed delicious breakfast in the garden. The beach is just two minutes away. The hosts made us (including a little dog) feel very welcome.

Netherlands1. Trying to have a shower from 19.30 until 21.30 could be a challenge (not the fault of the owners). The water pression is dropping (close to zero) during this timeframe because of, most probably, problems of the water distribution system in the area. 2. The price I paid was a bit to high even for such a nice accommodation.
Very "homey" atmosphere with our host being all the time around ready to help. The house was intelligently transformed into a touristic venue paying close attention to all details. A fantastic garden having a big pine tree in the middle. The breakfast was well-above the average breakfasts you can find in similar Greek hotels. Congrats to Petros, Kelly "The Boss" and all other ladies part of the staff for the excellent work.

Breakfast is amazing, made with love, everyday there is something different to try and enjoy. There is a beautiful energy in this house, it makes us feel like we're at our own home and all other guests were nice, polite, smiling.

TurkeyVery lovely small hotel with a delicious breakfast, and hospitable staff. Green garden with the big pine tree is great for relaxing, rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Owners Kelly and her dad are very helpful with their suggestions for dinner, beaches and seeing around. I'd love to go back if I visit Sithonia again.

GermanyCompared to other places in the area it’s a bit on the pricy side.
We absolutely loved our stay at Alterra Vita B&B. the property is gorgeous with a beautiful garden area to enjoy breakfast at and a patio which we had all to ourselves where we spent our evenings. Maria, Kosta and Petros went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. As I’m allergic to dairy products they arranged special dishes and vegan options for me for breakfast. The area of the B&B is nice, close to really good restaurants/taverns and pretty much next to Paradeisos Beach which offers beautiful sunset view. We recommend a car to discover other beaches though as Paradeisos is just OK (in our opinion) - but there are plenty organized and wild beaches within reasonable distance. we definitely recommend the hotel!

The place is wonderful. The garden is very nice. The room was modern, with very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. It is very close to the beach and to several good restaurants/taverns. We really highly appreciate the breakfast, which was very tasty, especially Mr. Petros's cakes and homemade jams. The staff is very kind and helpful. We love everything and for sure will be back :) . And many thanks for the gift - a delicious jar with mandarin jam.

RussiaRooms are smaller than they look on the picture. Even though there is an indication of square meters, you expect to see a bigger size of the place. Good photographer, what can I say )) Looks like the fan on the celling in one of the rooms is dying. Is a bit noisy and disturbs a bit at night.
It was a truly amazing experience, a very nice place to spend a week or two. It small, cozy, very clean and you nobody disturbs your privacy. And it's very quiet. I don't know how the did it, but I never experience any noise from other guests. The best part is the owners. Kelly runs the business and her father, Petros, looks for the house and the guests. They are enormously friendly and always ready to help. Their breakfasts are amazing. It's served outside at the grill house under lemon trees, each day something new. Everything is fresh and very tasty. A special thanks goes to the beds. The mattresses are new and expensive, beds make to noises or creaks. It’s the best sleep I had ever in a B&B. Alterra Vita is definitely a place to come back )

AustriaThere's absolutely nothing to complain about.
The host and the staff were absolutely amazing. They were very friendly, helpful and always gave great advice. The hotel is beautiful and has a very relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved that it was colourful and elegant at the same time, the bathroom was spacious and the garden was exceptional. There are wonderful old trees and a very comfortable lounge. What we enjoyed most however, was the breakfast. There's always something different and delicious on offer and they also added a lot of vegetarian options specifically us. You can also enjoy a variety of homemade jams and marmelades. It is very special to have breakfast while sitting under citrus trees in the garden. They have free sunbeds and umbrellas that you can take to the beach and also offer a sailing trip. The beach wasn't too crowded and there were some nice tavernas nearby. The water was cristal clear and beautiful. We'd again like to thank the owner and his son and daughter for being so helpful and made our holiday very special.

MoldovaInternet in the little room was a bit slow, but I don't know if that's bad or good, as we were on vacation, so a much needed digital detox would've been great.
We loved everything about our stay at Alterra Vita B&B. The rooms (we stayed in 2, after we booked a smaller one for the 3 of us, Kelly kindly proposed to stay on our last days in a bigger room) were beautifully designed. Breakfast was exceptional, the wild orange marmelade will always stay in our hearts :), home made cakes every morning made by Petros (every day - a different one), or bougatsa( hopefully I wrote it correctly). And the little garden there, suddenly our breakfast felt like a fairytale, unde the smelling trees of lemon and wild oranges. We loved it all and felt welcomed, wanted there. Our stay here felt like a stay at our relatives, not a hotel. Thank you, beautiful family! We totally enjoyed your "home".
