Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe interiors are a little outdated, but it did not matter for us during a short stay.
The location of the hotel is very good for the beach and getting around. The place is situated in mature woodland so there is nice shade during hot weather. The restaurant next door was absolutely great with all dishes prepared fresh and to perfection. The hotel and restaurant are much more low key than other resorts around, which is great for anyone who comes to this nature reserve for its unspoilt beauty and for the resort living. Breakfasts was a great surprise as it was very yummy. We loved the area and in my opinion this hotel is best choice for exploring its beauty.

FranceCivilization and culture still live in Greece! Find it all in this really family hotel. Don't misinterprete "family". The staff is as professional as one can be. But they are gentle and kind and very dedicated to their hotel. One of the best homemade breakfasts I ever had (talking of hundreds of hotels) in a hotel. Absolutely homely "halvas", bougatsa, tyropita, local fresh fruit, and, and, and.... The rooms are functional and very clean. Nice garden for the morning coffee. 5 minutes walk from a still not too busy beach. Crystal clear waters. Absolutely recommended!!! Thanks guys! Keep up the great work. Tourism can still be a kind activity. From people to people.

SwitzerlandWe were the last and only guests for the season and in spite of that we got a fabulous, tasty breakfast. A hotel run by two sympathetic and easygoing brothers, peaceful and green location. It could not have been better!

United Kingdom(the bit I don't like, especially here, which was so exceptional in so many ways) OK so....the shower was interesting and took a while. Rudimentary is fine, and there were so many other compensating factors that made this a very special place.
We picked Amalia for our three nights of rest in Kalogria, at roughly the mid point of our road trip around the Peloponnese (two/one nights in all the other places). Kalogria is wonderful. It is not somewhere you drive through on the way to anywhere. You have to want to go there, to the end of the road. And it is a gem of a place. The sandy beach, minutes' walk away from Amalia, overlooks Zakynthos and Kephalonia. Nearby there is an amazing lagoon and a densely forested area, parallel to the coast, which are protected nature reserves. Goats and turtles are all around. We had a studio at Amalia, as we were there for three nights. It had a large balcony with plenty of space to sit, a 'day bed' and a hammock chair. Overlooking the shady garden. Lovely. We had a bit of an issue with our rented car on our first day.... It meant that we spent much of the time with the totally amazing owners of this place, who could not have been more helpful. Our time with them took the concept of philoxenia and humour onto a different level! We had the best day - albeit Amalia Hotel bound -, we could ever have imagined! Breakfast is terrific here. The whole gamut of cooked, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juices - and the best filter coffee. We had so much fun. Thank you all at Amalia!

United StatesThe location was a bit remote. It was perfect for visiting Kalogria Beach, but not near much else.
If you are interested in spending time on the beautiful Kalogria beach, this hotel has a perfect location. The beach is literally a short walk away. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. the management was friendly, the room was a traditional Greek accommodation: roomy, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast offerings were fresh and tasty and the grounds, where we enjoyed breakfast outdoors, were lovely.
