How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This property is in a central location in Athens - our room had a fantastic view of the National Gardens and it was even possible to have a partial view of the changing over of the guards from the balcony. It’s easy to visit all the main sites of Athens from here - a nice walk to the ancient areas. It was great that our room was automatically upgraded when we arrived. The Olivia toiletries in the room are really nice too. All staff are very friendly, informative and attentive. The top floor restaurant, Whispers, had amazing views of the city, including of the Acropolis and Panathenaic Stadium. The food was so delicious, and the atmosphere so nice, that we went twice. The staff in the restaurant were particularly kind, enthusiastic and efficient. Really impressed by this hotel, especially in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed in in Athens.

The dinner option in the bar of the hotel could be better considering the quality of the hotel
This is a quality hotel in the optimal location: opposite the National Garden, 2 minutes from the Syntagma Square, 5 minutes from the Ermou shopping street, 10 minutes from the Plaka neighborhood, 15 minutes from the Acropolis Museum, 20 minutes from the Acropolis. On the seventh floor is a restaurant of the highest standard. The staff are amazing, especially Julie and Nikos who helped us with few problems we had, and advised places to go and restaurants. We thought it was much more than their duties! Thanks Julie and Nikos. The breakfast is excellent and the room was very comfortable.

Our room is facing the street so it's a little noisy in the night.

The overall experience at this hotel exceeded my expectations I was particularly impressed with, the restaurant, Whispers, on the rooftop. Which offered stunning panoramic views. The location, across from the botanical gardens and the tomb of the unknown soldier, was exceptional.

Location is excellent for access to all of Athens sites being central to communications hubs. The new rooftop dining and bar is a very special feature with all round Athens views including the Acropolis .

It's a beautiful hotel, right in the center of Athens, you can easily reach it from the airport or port. The staff is nice and helpful in case you need anything. They offer a really complete and delicious breakfast, perfect for the beginning of the day. Our room was perfect and had a wonderful view of Athens.

Since the hotel locates very very near to Syntagma station, we could catch train to airport early in the morning. We, of course, are sure to stay in the hotel on next visit Athens.

The hotel locates very near to Syntagma, major monuments of Athens and Plaka. Moreover, breakfast is fantastic with variety of healthy food which is far above of my expecation. Appreciate the kindness of frontdesk with arrangement of early check-in and even upgrading.
