We spent a wonderful time in this great and calm Hotel. Very clean, nice furniture, everthing there what we needed. The manager is a very nice person who not only met but exceeded all our expectations. She even spoilt us with homemade cake, brought some bread and fresh olives or a Raki. Thanks to her introduction to the area we found some hidden gems one wouldn't find in a travel guide. We can highly recommend the place.

We felt very welcome, everyone was wonderful and kind. The location is great with a stunning view. Our room/bungalow was comfortable, fresh, clean and cozy. Great location to explore the area from. Mina was an invaluable guide to the region, we visited some beautiful gems based on her information

The breakfast was outstanding. It was lovely to sit outside on the terrace and be served course after course of local delicacies - all organic and freshly cooked. The menu varied every day. The hosts went out of their way to be helpful and gave us maps of the area and suggestions of places to visit. They had a bookshelf of books on the history of the area. Nothing was too much trouble and we cannot wait to return.

Nothing everything was great

We have been travelling around the Peloponnese for a while now and it is without saying that Antares is by far superior to other hotels that we stayed. The hotel is a beautiful stone building that emulates the tower houses of the Mani region and is located just outside Aeropolis amongst fields of olive groves just like Mani Villages. The service and hospitality provided by Mina, Nickos, George and Victoria was exemplary. Mina and George in particular who heartedly haves given us guidance where to go so we can get the real local Mani experience. Thank you for that. The breakfast served was fabulous. What can you say, the hospitality overall felt like “home” We enthusiastically recommend Antares to any one that wants to visit Mani.

The well known bath product brand in use seriously failed to deliver the reinvigorating natural herbal scents one might expect and there was no bar soap for those who dislike shower gels.

Nothing. Remember that this is neither a city stay, nor a beachfront venue, nor a big resort with a swimming pool and happy hour at 5pm, but a peaceful, beautiful garden villa on the edge of a wild peninsular, and you will love it.

I don't often write hotel reviews, but my experience at Antares compelled me to. Mina and Georgios were the most welcoming, gracious, helpful and knowledgeable hosts, both with a deep personal connection to, and love of, the Mani peninsular that they were bursting to share. The daily home-made breakfast was superlative - we had freshly baked sweet and savoury pies, different every day, with salads prepared with herbs from the garden, and of course delicious Greek yoghurt and honey, and much more besides. The thoughtful advice we received, the little details like giving us an umbrella to take to the wild beaches - we felt less like guests and more like family.

A place we fell in love with.... From the first moment we arrived we felt welcome. The hotel is amazing, the rooms, the view.. Exceeds every expectation. There is no better place to stay, if you visit Mani. It's a paradise.. A perfect place for relaxation. The breakfast was a unique experience made with fresh, local ingredients, carefully selected and lots of love.. But above all the warm hospitality. Thank you Mina, Mr Giorgos and Nikos for showing us the amazing gems of Mani. Thank you for the all the talks we had. We loved every minute we spent there. See you again.
