How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Very well kept property. Location is central to restaurants shops the castle and the waterfront. Excellent and courteous staff.

I have nothing I didn't like.
The hotel and staff were amazing. They went out of their way to ensure all your needs were met. The breakfast was wonderful and the restaurant recommendations were the best. I would stay here again. Location was a 10.

Parking was at a little distance away but understandable because of its close location to the town.
This little boutique hotel had a perfect atmosphere. It had beautiful eccentric decor, and made you feel like you were at home. A beautiful little garden area to drink your coffee or have breakfast outside. The staff was amazing and very helpful with all the questions and advice on events and activities of town.

Location is the mosts central in Ioanina, all the attraction in walking distance. Very kind and helpful hotel stuff. Great breakfast.

Everything was truly perfect.
It is obvious that the person who created this hotel did it as a project of passion and love with no expense spared and with the attention to every detail. Even the dishes and cutlery were beautiful.

room was in the attick, with no view to the inner beautifuull courtyard. climbing the stairs was not easy. the elevator is too small thus my wife refuesed using it. for me, being a tall guy headroom was somewhat limited. othe rthan that the place is highly recommended.

Room was on the upper floor. The tilted ceiling was a nuisance and uncomfortable, forcing us to bend down in certain parts of the room. Avoid this floor if you can.
Location couldn't be better. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Room was very spacious. Breakfast was excellent. On the whole a superb choice of accommodation for Ioannina.

Wow, I have to say, there wasn't a single thing that I didn't absolutely love! Every aspect of it exceeded my wildest expectations. It was truly an incredible experience!
The breakfast at the hotel was delicious. The staff were very organized and helpful in every way. I also loved the location of the hotel, which is close to the old castle and many stores for easy shopping.

The hotel staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting the old walled town. Parking can be tricky in the centre of Ioannina, but the hotel directed us to a nearby garage with which they have an agreement.

The location couldn't be better. The breakfast was excellent and very rich. I loved the tableware during breakfast! We liked that breakfast was served till 11am because we didn't need to wake up very early and feel anxious for the breakfast slot.

The top floor attic room, you should be carful with the low ceiling not to bang your head. The shower is leaking a bit on the floor. Apart from that, PERFECT.
Everything was perfect, the room, the staff the location the decoration, the breakfast.

Everything was perfect honestly I have nothing to mention
The hotel is in the best location in Ioannina. You do not need to use a car you can go everywhere on foot. The hotel has it own parking 100 meters from the hotel. It is next to the area that all the restaurants bars shops are located. The rooms are very quite and you can enjoy your sleep. The facilities are soooo cozy with very nice decoration and confortable beds and furnitures. It is super clean and the breakfast is every day different with a variety of local hand made recipes. Last but not least the personnel of this hotel is exceptional, they are there to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable . Always available and willing to give you advises of where to go and what to do. We will definitely come back. I fully recommend this place
