How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Tight driveway.
The place was huge and open and spacious. We wished we could bring the apartment every where we’d go in Greece, it was so great! Balconies, super location, quiet, and helpful & kind host. Great parking space. Amazing value! Great choice near airport.

There is nothing to dislike.
We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. The host was very nice and supportive. We really felt at home here. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and had all the amenities needed. It is located right in the city center - so having a parking spot is very valuable. Markopolou is a very nice town. We would definitely come back in the future. Thank you very much Suzana for treating us so well!!

One double or full sized bed in the second bedroom instead of two twin beds would have been better.
The host was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was large with all amenities. Parking on site.

I would have given 10 points, but I deducted one point for the terrible bed in the single bedroom that produced too much creaking, even with the slightest movement.
I can confirm all the positive feedback from other people. The apartment is very nice and located in a good location. The host was very kind and helpful.

The single room's bed made too much squeak noise. We think it is better to change it or find a solution.
The owner is very polite and helpful. The location is perfect, just at the center of Markopoulo and 10 minutes away from the airport by taxi. We definitely recommend here for big families or even small ones.

Suzana is extremely nice and attentive. She really makes you feel welcome. The apartment is conveniently located in the town center, with parking. Everything is clean, working properly, and well-maintained. We left at night for the airport, it took 10 minutes to arrive. For the price, you couldn't wish for more.

There isn’t any decent public transport in the area making it difficult to get around.
This apartment is like the tardis. It is massive. The host, Susana is amazing. Highly recommend if you need a place in the little village of Markopoulo.

There is a slight tobacco smell in the living room, but it was not that bad.
Suzan is a great host, and she leaves some treats for the guests. The place is huge and comfortable.

There is nothing we didn't like!
What a brilliant apartment! The description is very accurate, it is indeed a large, comfortable, spacious apartment that is right in the centre of town. Things we loved about the place: Elevator (note there are a few stairs when you enter the building, so it is not entirely flat, but the elevator helps a lot) Balconies in every bedroom, living room and kitchen Good aircon Good wifi Functional kitchen, with a few items eg water and juice in the fridge, oil, salt, pepper, tea bags, etc The apartment was very clean indeed Location, just two minutes walk to bars, shops, periptero (kiosk), etc, and about 20 minutes drive to the airport Souzanna, the host, was very good at being in contact and offering assistance To summarise, this is an extremely good apartment, at a very fair price, that we would love to stay at again. Our only regret is that we were only there for one night. We hope to return!

Great location if you need to stay close to the airport. Very big and clean. Host is very supportive and helpful, small details such as some fruits and breads for our quick breakfast showed kindness.
