Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceEverything was more than ok, I spend New Year’s Eve in this place, I liked the hospitality of the owners, Mr George and all the staff make sure you have a pleasant stay and even more, they gave us information about the activities, restaurant and whatever we asked them, the hotel is very well maintained, it has all the modern comforts and also maintained the traditional style, breakfast is perfect, a lot of traditional dishes,, yogurt, pies, omelettes, pure honey and many more, all fresh, Mr George makes sure you start your day full of energy. The hotel has always hot water, the room is always warm and the mist important is the mattress, perfect. The other most important, is if you like to visit the whole area around is that Dilofo (where hotel is situated) is a strategic place, it’s situated in the middle of everything, if you have a car or like to visit the area by foot, this is the place to be, for sure I will come back to this place, I hope soon.

IsraelEverything was great. Please note that you will need to carry the luggage from the parking.
The hotel is beautiful settled in a semi-abundant village. It feels less touristic. The host is very nice and takes great care of the hotel and visitors. It is a unique place to stay. It is 35 mins away from Ioannina and 1 hr from Papigo. The location was good for us. The village has a great restaurant.

CanadaWe liked everything! however others may be disappointed that there are no shops, and any services have to be found by driving to bigger villages nearby. The archontiko took care of an ample breakfast. The one restaurant has a view is over the magnificent valleys, and serves delicious generous food but it opens midday'ish- closes around 20:00 )rather early for Greece) and if one wants a late sitting it is best to make a reservation. The central cafe/taverna we have been told will re-open in the fall (it closed during the pandemic). We would have stayed longer and we will return!
Dilofo is a tiny hill village perched amongst the Zagori region's mountains. It is quiet, tranquil and as if from another time. The old house is like the pictures it has posted- beautifully renovated to have all comforts while retaining the aesthetic of the region. It's courtyard is a little haven within the confines of the village. Breakfast was generous and delicious and different each day. The hosts are very kind.

United KingdomNot a problem in our case, but someone with mobility issues might struggle to get from the parking area at the entrance of the village to the property because there are no cars allowed in the village itself.
Lovely staff and proprietors who made as feel at home from the first moment. Lovingly and tasteful restored old traditional building but with all modern comforts. Very peaceful and completely unspoilt location. Great for exploring the wider area. Amazing nature all around and lots to do in terms of hiking, rafting, exploring nature and the unspoilt nature of the region.

IsraelNothing, just keep in mind that you have to park at the edge of the village and walk with your luggage on stone paved alleys about 200 meters, but it's absolutely worth it!
Very beautyful room (9) with a balcony, we enjoyed the quiet of the place and most of all giorgo's hospitality. He advised us of places to go, hiking ad well as dining. The mansion is very well maintained and is both rustic and modern at the same time. Wonderful breakfat! A really unforgettable experience!

United KingdomThat we couldn't stay longer!
This is a fabulous place to stay, full of character and tradition, with truly charming people who own/run it. We were upgraded to a larger room than the one we had booked but both were comfortable and spacious with everything we needed. Breakfasts were fantastic, with homemade Greek orange pie a particular highlight. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the hosts were really knowledgable about the whole area and gave us lots of info and advice. We loved staying here and recommend it highly.

South AfricaIt is difficult not to turn the bathroom into a swimming pool, as the shower area is tiny and completely open to the rest of the bathroom. For the rest there really was nothing not to like.
The Archontiko (Mansion House) is beautifully restored, with bold wall colours as soon as one steps through the antique door. The manager's welcome persisted into consistent assistance, especially around the abundant buffet breakfast -- she knows the area like the palm of her hand and provided utterly useful information on local activities. That all cars have to park outside the village is both a boon and a bother. It makes the Mansion House very peaceful, but requires one carrying your luggage some 200 m over rough paths. All this contributes to the unique character of this village and accommodation.

CanadaThe long walk from the parking lot over broken & uneven stone roads. Do not bring rolling luggage or ask the hotel for help in advance.
The guesthouse was much nicer than the photos look. The hosts were hospitable & helpful & made a nice breakfast. The room was a good size & everything was very clean. The complex is really beautiful & so is the town. A great choice as long as you know how far it is from the parking lot.

United StatesThe room and bathroom are a bit small, but that felt like an authentic experience in this beautiful old mansion. Otherwise everything was great.
A charming little room in an old stone mansion on a small quiet street in Dilofo. The view from the room out onto the town was lovely. The bed is extremely comfortable. The pomegranate liqueur and tsipouro we got when we arrived was delicious. The hotel itself was beautiful - the lobby, the dining room, the courtyard. To get to the hotel, you have to park your car on the outside of town, then walk about 100 meters or so along the winding stone streets of Dilofo. You turn the corner and the sign magically appears. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and offered helpful suggestions for our visit in Zagorohoria. Would recommend.
