Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsVery unique building and a beautiful scenery. A true gem! We fell in love with the place the moment our taxi driver said we arrived. And that just 15 minutes from the city centre.

United KingdomCould have been cleaner but to be honest it added to the old, quirky feel of the place so something that would normally bother me, didn’t so much. Showers very basic.
Very old property steeped in history. A short history tour given including seeing a piano over 1000 years old! A welcome drink offered and a great garden to soak up the Greek atmosphere. Kids enjoyed the pool. Staff exceptional.

GermanyIt was a little overpriced. Although it's a very nice place, it's quite remote and if you don't have a car you have to move by taxi, which makes everything more expensive.
Hotel was very beautiful, an historic house perfectly conserved, in a tiny and lovely village. Staff was so kind to us, V was really friendly and gave us a little tour around when we arrived. She was very helpful and nice to talk to. We also had lunch there and it was delicious and well served. It has a nice pool in the garden, we spent the afternoon there and it was really pleasent. I met the cutest little kitty and it was love at first sight :)

United KingdomI laugh as I write this as it was so incredibly hot and wasn’t a major issue. A shower curtain would have been great only because I was worried about damaging the floor.
If you want to experience of what you imagine Greece to be, stepped backed in time, coupled with tranquility, peacefulness, heritage and hospitality, then this is the place for you. Words cannot express our experience here. You must appreciate this is an extremely old building that demonstrates everything you would expect from an old ‘quirky’ building. No holidays reps, no discos, no transfer coaches, no bingo, no rubbish, no football towels, no aqua aerobics, and stupid pool activities. It’s quite ‘simply Greece’ at its best. It is not in Corfu town. 10 minute stroll to the bus stop, with a 20 minute journey. Ideally located to the water park, however , although the odd family around this is not a place for lilo’s, & water guns. It is a get away from it all place. The village is also a 10 minute stroll to a very small selection of eating places. The hotel food although limited choice was exceptional. The service and hospitality received was unquestionable.

SpainThe bedroom it was a bit warm, so we needed to use the air com all the time inside the bedroom, and in my opinion, a bit far from the center so could be interesting to rent a moto or a car to stay there.
We were so welcome in there that we felt very special guests. It was the very first place I have had that experience, we had a private tour in the hotel and garden ( with colorful flowers all over ) explained historically by Olga who did our warm welcome become extra especial :) Also, we received an welcome drink and yogurt that make us fell in love immediately. My boyfriend and I were there in the end of June 2023 and define telly would recommend this hotel, we are planning to come back there asap as well. All the details counts and specially the kindness and professionalism of Olga ( who arranged us motorcycle rent and keep our backpack in the locker for a short period of time after checkout, ) every simple detail in her work counted a lot for me.The breakfast is pretty complete with fresh drinks, fruits, bread, omelets, local honey, yogurts, jams... etc, Perfect presentation, specially prepared like a brunch. So yes, define telly I would recommend this place :) by the wall, thank you so much for this experience :) it was beyond my expectations for sure.

IsraelWe had a bit of a hard time with the dust, in our opinion it was not clean enough even though it is a very ancient building so it is in accordance with that
We arrived at the hotel for one night, a sweet hostess was waiting for us and then we also met Valerie, the owner of the place who was charming and explained to us about the history of the building. At first we were brought to taste liqueur and a really delicious dessert, and a bottle of wine and glasses were waiting for us in the room! The building itself is really charming from the outside to the inside! The location was also great which was close to the city.

BulgariaWe were welcomed in the hotel with a tasty free local drinks. Then we had a small introduction to the history of the hotel. At the time we were doing the actual check-in at the flat, we already had our mind vanished in the atmosphere of the past times when this place was not a hotel, but a home. Receptionists were very positive and welcoming, they gave us information about nearby beaches and the way to get to them. Plenty of parking space.

United KingdomNothing!
The location of the property could not be more lovely, and the garden is an oasis in which to relax. The pool is fabulous. It was the perfect place in which to spend our first night in Corfu. Olga could not have been more welcoming or helpful, and neither could her colleague the following morning. The icing on the cake is the little taverna next door where we had the most excellent dinner.

BelgiumOur room was old (as is the house, but that gives it it's charm!). This made our room very hot in the morning (when the sun was there). The airco, shower and squicky beds could need a fix.
De staff was perfect. Everything you could have asked for! Already enough reason alone to book this place. De breakfast was amazing (way too much). The house is beautiful (architecture) and do check the restaurant closeby.

AustriaThis is a beautiful mansion, which has its own unforgettable appearance. The comfort of modern conveniences is combined with the charm of the Victorian era furniture, interior, dishes, sculptures and paintings. Gorgeous well kept garden. Beautiful view from the balcony, delicious food, rich breakfast. I especially want to say thank you to the wonderful people who work in this hotel. I traveled a lot and met a lot of friendly and nice hotel staff. In this hotel you can meet your new friends. Very attentive, sincere and sympathetic people. Thank you very much for the rest.
