Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyLoved the place. Pantelis is a very kind, attentive and helpful person. He personally pinned the locations-to-visit on the map he gave me. He is also a fan of Queen (the band), like me :). The building is a restoration of an old Genovan estate using the same materials, so it is beautiful. The room I stayed was large and comfy. The hotel also has an orchard with orange trees from which they make their delicious home-made marmelade. Thanks for everything.

TurkeyOur visit was in April and Kambos was definitely the right area to stay in Chios. The smell of the citrus blossoms was heavenly! The establishment is located in a citrus garden and is a gorgeous building, renovated beautifully. The room was spacious and clean, we quickly had the hot water and the pressure was also good. Pantelis was a great host, it was like visiting a friend's house. He also kindly let us check-in early. Sure I will come again and stay here during the summer time as well.

Peaceful property surrounded by greenery, history and its own orange orchards. Restorated per its original design/ materials. Super friendly owner, unique rooms with soul. Be smart and come with adequate transportation and reservation. Don’t be a “hıyar” and take your lack of planning on the Owner/ Manager.

TurkeyBreakfast was the only frustration we had! It could have been a lot better. Coffee was cold, selection of breakfast items were not as many and not having a pitcher of freshly squeezed orange in an 6800 m2 of orange grove (beautiful!) was not acceptable.
Pantelli the owner was fantastic. He was extremely helpful, gentle and friendly. He made the place look a lot more appealing and meaningful. He warm welcomed us and take us to a small tour of the premises with a historical background storytelling. The Kampos area is wonderful with a great history and architecture.

United StatesThe location was perfect fpr us since it's centrally located on the island, and you can explore pretty much anywhere in an easy day trip. The downside is it's very close to the airport, although there are few flights off season so the noise is not bad. The neighborhood is beautiful but the streets are VERY narrow (and usually two-way) so if you're a timid driver you might get stressed especially in the dark. BUt for us it was a wonderful place to stay and an excellent value.
Wonderful traditional property in the Kambos neighborhood which is full of restored mansions with lovely gardens. This property has nice outdoor patios and gardens to enjoy as well as a citrus grove to explore. Plenty of on-site parking. The breakfast buffet included plenty of options in a cosy dining area. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and had advice on places to go, things to see, etc.

United StatesThey were extremely communicative and got back to us asap with any questions. We also asked for a corkscrew and they brought one as well as wine glasses which was very nice. Wifi was fine in the room but lagging on the terrace but that wasn’t a problem.

GreeceNeed a car to get around Chios, as public transport options are limited.
Adequate breakfast (we visited out of season so everything was toned down), however everything was fresh and most of the stuff locally sourced. Try the orange juice from the local grove.

United KingdomI have stayed in various parts of the world for 15 years. I have seen very few places as comfortable and affordable as this hotel. Also, the person who runs this hotel is one of the kindest and gentlest people I've ever met in my life, very helpful. If you are going to stay in Chios, please first check if this place is empty, if it is, don't miss it. The ambiance of the rooms is great. Comfort exceeds expectations. The breakfast is superb.

TurkeyCleaning was very poor this time! They have just 4 indoor breakfast tables and we prefer the same table every morning, but you can find all the food rest left from the previous day on the table! very disappointing situation. Breakfast is very poor with cold coffee.
This is our second time in the same hotel we love the location. There is same style (old stone) Church just on front and my wife visiting every morning and evening thus we can easily say that it is a mystic place somehow.

TurkeyI prefer double bed, but it is not necessary. We disappointed about Public transportation. We tried to walk city center but it was too hard walking on narrow road. There is no pedestrian road. You need to rent car. It is better than walking and more economic than taxi.
Breakfast, garden, mansion, kind employees, so peaceful place, they provided extra bed for our baby.
