Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Beachfront hotel with amazing views, crystal clear water for swimming just a few steps from the rooms with comfortable sunbeds. Hotel manager Yannis is doing his best to provide great stay for his guests, communication with him before arrival via mail and phone was also very easy. Big wardrobe, clean and spacious rooms. Ftenagia and Pondamos beach not far away, as well as the port with tavernas and shops. Hotel restaurant provides also lunch and dinner if you are not in a mood to go to the port. Overall we were happy to stay and would love to return.

United KingdomThere were a few power cuts while we were there, which meant fridge in our room went off and we couldn’t make toast one morning, but think this was caused by recent wild fires on Rhodes. Would have been good to have a kettle in our room to make tea. We had 3 nights in junior suite which was great and 2 in triple room. Daughter found the sofa bed a little uncomfortable.
Location was superb, the hotel is great. We were met from the ferry by the hotel manager, Yiannis. During our stay all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good; same options each day but plenty of variety. Staying at the hotel feels like a real treat; something a bit special. We went with our 12 year old daughter who loved being able to swim from the terrace , but wouldn’t recommend it for much younger children or non swimmers. Halki is a beautiful spot and well worth the ferry ride if you are looking for a relaxing break.

CyprusMy room was rather expensive (~145 Euros), probably a price suited for early July would be around 120, max 130. But for those who can afford it is a great choice. Wifi in the room was not very good (slow with interruptions) as it was fully booked and had to rely on my mobile phone (still had issues). The shutters were also a bit noisy when closing and a bit difficult to close (understandable given the close vicinity to the sea). For those coming for work (I guess seldom case) the WiFi in the meeting room was also intermittent and slow, and had some issues with the projector.
Τhe best and biggest hotel in Halki. It is situated at the edge of Halki small village in front of the sea with amazing view to Halki. The sea in front is like a pool with deep clean water despite located close to the (not busy) harbour. I enjoyed every day the morning swim before the meeting and also the afternoon swim after work. You can dive in the sea from the hotel areas, also equipped with nice sun beds. My room was one of the 3 located in the extension building with a small balcony. The view from the room and bathroom were also amazing. The room was spacious and had all the necessary facilities (air condition, fridge with two free waters, desk for the laptop, cupboard for clothes, plugs). Fantastic meeting room with good air condition. The breakfast was also quite good and was served until 10. Also appreciated the free transfer from the port which saves quite some trouble walking with the luggage through the village alleys from the port. Ftenagia beach close by (5 minutes) was also fantastic!
