Clean swimming pool and super friendly family owning the place

View from upper rooms is better than ground floor. Shower water pressure a little low.

This was our second stay. An easy drive from Chania airport. Lovely location, pool, local tavernas and breakfast. Staff so kind.

The rooms are a little bit old style, but it is not a problem if it doesn’t bother you.

It is located uphill so the views are incredible, you can see the sea from the balcony. The pool is very big and there is shade from the palm trees. The chambers are big and clean and the people are very welcoming. There is also a nice little beach at 10 minutes by car. We didn’t have breakfast as it starts at 8h30 but you can have this option if you want to.

Very old furniture, that needs renovation.

Surroundings were fabulous, very well mentained, we loved the bar at the evenings, pool was clean, the staff was very friendly.

The rooms need a little upgrade work, especially the bathroom but nothing that would stop me from coming back

It’s my 2nd stay at Areti and I can highly recommend it: the location over the bay is stunning and quiet, yet 15mins from Chania old town; the pool is amazing and the staff very friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for a relaxing place, then this is it!

You really need a car to stay at this property. one of our rooms didn’t have a hairdryer. breakfast was disappointing

Loved everything.

The surroundings are beautiful, room spacious and clean. The family who runs the hotel is amazing, this place really feels like a home away from home. Food is so delicious greek home made food, snacks and salads. Wine and cocktails are top-notch. Somehow all the other guests seems to be nice too, everyone behaves well. If you want to enjoy in an authentic Cretan atmosphere, Areti is the place to be. Cant wait for our next visit, thank you Mary & the family.

I love thé family run business was here last year and is such an amazing place to stay very nice amenities there’s food that you can get and also a pool bar which is open into the late evenings. I would certainly recommend this to anyone and will be coming continuously aswell.

The bed was a little hard so could’ve been comfier.

The place is amazing! The room was so spacious and had a large balcony with amazing views over the sea. The air con was very powerful. The area was really quiet and peaceful which was a lovely contrast to Chania. The grounds were beautifully maintained and the pool area was brilliant, such a large pool and plenty of really good quality sun beds. There’s the option to order food throughout the day which was always very delicious. The staff were also very friendly, they even gave us a free parasol to keep for the week for when we went to beaches, so thoughtful! 100% would recommend, the place completely exceeded our expectations and we were sad to leave.

The other tourists and that has nothing to with this place but to those people. They didn't think about other guests at all. They went and put their towels early in the morning and reserved those few sunbeds all to them self. Towels sat there and these people went how they wanted out of the pool area. Middle aged people and behave like this. Hotel should not allow people to do this. Staff was very very friendly, only the lady, I think maybe the mother could be not so nice. Asked for taxi and she just gave the number to figure out ourself but we had problem since the taxi company claimed there are 2 hotels by same name in this area. There ain't. The daughter was nice and helped us with that. Man (son?) extremely nice.

Beautiful views from seaview rooms. Very nice and clean rooms. Would recommend and stay again. Specially great that this is a pet friendly hotel. Liked everything about it. Staff very friendly!

The only thing was that the water battle at breakfast was refilled with tap water which was a small surprise to all in our family. Apart from that everything was Perfect.
