How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The rooms are very clean, the location is fantastic! It's rare to find an apartment so close to the beach with large parking and an elevator. We had everything we needed, and host Vasiliki is amazing person, who will make your stay exceptional! We felt like we were at home. We will definitely come again to visit our friend Vasiliki 😊

An excellent apartment with two balconies, located in the heart of the town. It's just a few minutes walking distance from the beach and all other amenities. The bus stop from KTEL is just around the corner. The host Vasiliki goes the extra mile to make her guests happy.

Everything was great! The rooms are clean and tidy. We had everything we needed, dishes for food, towels, space for drying clothes. And I must mention that the bed is very comfortable. The parking lot is big and everyone has their own, we didn't worry about whether they would have a place. Vasiliki is extremely nice. She is always there if you need help, and you can ask her anything you want to know about the town. We are very satisfied and will definitely see you again!

The accommodation is in an excellent location, very close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. It is by far the cleanest one we have ever visited. Our stay was further enhanced by the lovely host Vasiliki, who treated us as if we were members of the family. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and would come back again.

We liked everything! The studio was clean and had everything we needeed, the location is perfect - near the beach, shops, restaurants, bakery, bus station. And most important - Ms Vasiliki is one of the nicest persons you will ever meet. She is so kind and always going extra mile to make your vacation as pleasant as possible. If we decide to come to Nea Kallikratia again in the future, we will choose Artistic apartments for sure!

Vasiliki and Pantazis are exceptional hosts. Felt like II visited my family. The rooms spotlessly clean (cleaned and change linen twice in a week)beautiful balcony end perfect location, 2 minutes walk to beach, restaurants etc. Deffinetly a massive Value for money. Be coming back soon.

This place is a labour of love... the owner is an artist (exhibits works regularly) and has decorated her hotel and all its rooms with her own paintings, which makes it very personable. She is very personable too, giving lots of advice on places to go, places to eat, etc. Rooms were great, cool / air conditioned, great bathroom, fridge, etc.

The host was super. She was very helpful and friendly. Positive thing was also elevator in the accomoditation. Room was very clean and every 2 days we have got clean towels, bedding etc. Super was also the little kitchen wher you can cook something. There is also air condition, TV and free wifi. Very good impression makes the paintings all around the accomoditation which painted the host. She is really talented person. Everything is close. Bus station maybe 50m, bakery, markets, pharmacy, main square, restaurants, beach. Beach was super, with sand. Tenperature was around 25C but feeling temp. was maybe 30C. We really enjoied the stay there and I must recomend it.

Occasional loud noise coming from the cars in the street during the night, we had to keep the doors closed, because it was waking us up.
First of all, the location is FABULOUS. You are literally in the center of the town. The accomodation is extremely clean and well cared for. The hosts are so welcoming, they were always going out of their way to help make our stay as pleasant as possible.
