Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe pillows are very hard (but bed is comfortable)! Barking dogs a little way away in the village (silent by 11:00pm).
Location - beyond fabulous; secluded, up a (very) winding road, with a stunning view over the valley. Ioanna (the owner) - charming, helpful and full of interesting facts about the old village. To avoid the drive back down in the evening for dinner, the restaurant in Mythras brought dinner to us. Ioanna made sure the fridge was stocked with our breakfast. Simple accommodation, but very clean and comfortable.

Everything was incredible, rustic and mountainous location with a modernized, comfortable and beautiful accommodation. Truly one of the best and most accommodating and friendly hosts that we have ever met. The road up is a little rough but more than worth the drive. The trail back to town was wonderful and the surrounding views and vistas are extremely tough to beat. Absolutely fantastic!

BelgiumA long smal road up the hill, but on the other hand, that ‘s what gives you that unique isolated feeling what was very nice.
Cosy appartement with nice terraces and magnificent view. If I knew, we booked longer.

United KingdomStay here!!! Absolutely speechless. What a wonderful visit to Mystras. There is a beautiful winding road up the hill, hosting picturesque views all the way up. When we arrived at The Guesthouse, the lady came out and we received a warm welcome. She was so kind, friendly and generous and made our stay the best possible. She lived in America for 30 years so her English is superb but was born and raised in the area and is full of knowledge that she is more than happy to share with you. Thank you so much for a wonderful time in Mystras!! Quick ride to the town - suggest to go to Taverna Hellen for delicious authentic Greek dinner. The rooms at The Guesthouse are so accommodating and spacious with such great views. Really recommend this guesthouse. Thanks again for a beautiful stay.

NetherlandsWhat makes this places singular is it's location - but you have to get to top of the hill without having a heart attack. As a family that lives in a flat country and whose main mode of transportation is bikes, those curves almost gave us a heart attack. YOU MUST COME IN THE DAY TIME. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO THE FIRST TIME AT NIGHT.
The best accommodations I have ever been to. The nature, the solitude, the quiet. Wow...amazing. The history behind the home - from the original owners to the current owner (born in one of the rooms) will transport you back in time. The home has been completely remodeled, but maintains the spirit of the location (you can see the back side of Mystras from the balcony/bedroom...breathtaking). The owner is one of a kind: so generous and open from the moment you arrive - a food basket on arrival, breakfast....amazing. She also gave us tips to order food from a local restaurant. Delicious food!

United Statesin order to arrive you must drive up a steep, narrow, windy cliff side road. it is beautiful and serene but just be aware you are choosing a remote sanctuary not a place in the center. however, owner has arranged with a great restaurant in lower mystras village for moped food delivery f you don’t feel like driving down the mountain (we just ate lunch out and brought groceries for dinner)
fantastic views from 80% of the way up Mount Taygeti looking over valley, Sparta and straight across to Mystra on the next mountain. it was beautiful, peaceful, cute, clean and comfortable. there are no other tourists or cars because you are the highest house on the mountain after 15 minutes up a steep, windy, cliff side road. we stayed for 2 nights to see Mystras but 3 would be the minimum if you want to also enjoy the hikes.

NetherlandsThe beds are very hard. We told Joanne she should change this.
This lodge is an extraordinary experience. Lovely Joanne is the owner, she was born and raised in this tiny mountain village, left for a few years abroad and came back to renovate "her"family home. The location is fantastic if you love nature, Greek mountain village stories, mountains and quiet and peace. The views are stunning, one of the best we have ever had! Terraces all around your appartment. Breakfast in the sun with a view on the old Mystras castle and the valley of Sparti. Impressive! The road is a 5km road to the house, but so beautiful. Hiking trails start behind the the house and you can hike in one hour downwards to Mystras and you can also hike up the mountain as far as you want, to monasteries, springs etc. The mountains just start at your front door! Joanne is very lovely, she provides you with Oranges ( great taste and juice!) from her own garden, bread and stuff for breakfast. The place is very clean. With nice hot showers. Make sure you book at least 2 nights, since you can enjoy then the relaxed mountain atmosphere. Bring your own wine and snacks, there is nothing up there. But that makes it so romantic! HAve dinner at Mystras little square. Mystras is a lovely ( not too touristic) village, with quite a few nice restuarants.

As two couples we were traveling the Peloponnesus on motorcycles. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful two-bedroom apartment with a small living room, good equipped kitchen and comfortable bathroom. Everything was perfect, clean and tasteful. The view from the balcony and terrasse was breath-taking. The breakfast with bread, yoghurt and fresh fruits was good. ….. gave us a warm welcome and a very personal view to the history of the building. She could help with a bottle of wine we forgot to by in time and was always committed to make our stay comfortable. We would look forward to an other visit.

United StatesNo dislikes about the property but a caution as it is high up the mountain along a winding , curving dirt road with no restaurants or shops nearby so you must plan accordingly .
Loved the peace & quiet of being up in the mountains after lots of busy sightseeing . It was totally relaxing & we enjoyed sitting outdoors in the evening with the cooler air & beautiful view . This beautifully restored home is a real gem & very comfortable & Joann the owner very lovely & accommodating . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & only wish we had booked a longer one .

BelgiumThis is an absolute dreamlike location. Very surprising up on the mountain in more or less a deserted village. The guesthouse is amazing. Great accommodations, spectacular views, absolute silence. The owner is great, friendly and accommodating. If we had the chance we would return immediately. It is probably a well kept secret because a place like this cannot go unnoticed very long, enjoy!

ItalyJoanna was the best host we ever met. The house is amazing as you can feel the incredible atmosphere of this ancient Greek house completely renewed by Joanna. She provided a fresh, genuine and tasty breakfast and spent a lot of time with us telling the story of the area and of his family. She also led us into a superb walk towards a beautiful hidden church.
