How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

The accommodation, services and location are excellent! There are 5 stone houses located in a beautiful very well-maintained olive trees and orange trees garden. And a very nice and clean swimming pool where you can relax and have a cocktail of your choice. The houses are very well decorated (even nicer compared with the pictures) and you have all you need inside. Very comfortable and with a nice terrasse. Our house had one bedroom with an extra-large double bed with perfect mattresses (for us), plus a big couch on the leaving room. Enough space for all you could need on vacation. The house was very clean, and all is very well maintained. Housekeeping every 3 days was quite enough. We found the place very quiet even if the restaurant is opened until late in the night and there is music playing - there was no noise on the house terrasse or inside the house. The restaurant was also perfect, at very high standards, a big plus. Congratulations and Big Thanks from our side!!! Very tastily and well-cooked grills and good wine. Good music, professional and friendly services offered by Dimitri and the staff made us feel at the right place to have a wonderful vacation. Thank you, Dimitri, for the watermelon served every evening😊! Now – we did not go to the closest beach, but I think is a nice walk to reach it and is a good one. We have chosen other locations (just 5 min drive) where you can use your own umbrella/chair, or you can use those on organized beach. You have plenty to choose from: sandy beach with sandy water. Kakovatos center with 2 minimarkets and restaurants, etc is also 5 min drive away. You can find all you need there, or you can go to Zacharo (also close). We have had an issue with the car – Dimitri kindly help, contacting a service, making an appointment for us and guiding us as needed. The issue promptly resolved. Thank you for everything, Dimitri!

We are a family of 4 and had an amazing stay in Asfendamos! Dimitris and co took great care of us. Everything was spotlessly clean, comfortable and not noisy. The beds are comfy, the kitchen well equipped if you want to cook, the aircon works really well, the pool is deep enough to be able to have a good swim and very clean. There is a bar and restaurant where you can have very good food in the evenings and nice coffee and juice in the morning. We felt like home and were sad to have to leave.

Level of comfort depending a little on your neighbours and the house you'll get. We've got the house facing the turn for the parking lot this time. Two nights we got a little disturbed by neighbours that came back late at night, dropping off their kids and stuff in front of our teracce, leaving the engine running and slamming doors for minutes.
Our second stay at Asfendamos, so we knew what to expect. Good location close to the beautiful beach, friendly staff helping out with umbrellas and offering us some oranges from the garden. The houses are comfortable and you'll find almost everything to prepare a good meal. Coffee machine (filter) included. Rooms also remained quiet cool without A/C. The pool was also kept spotless clean.

We have no negative comments about Asfendamos
Asfendamos is a lovely clean, relaxed , comfortable place to spend your holiday. The staff are amazing, nothing too much trouble. The pool is spotless and very well maintained. The villas are spacious and well appointed. Plenty of towels and comfortable beds. There is excellent air conditioning which is a welcome break from the heat.

This is the third time we have stayed at the property and it was as good as I had remembered. Since we last stayed there a few years ago the landscaping of olive and orange trees has matured to create a lovely peaceful environment for the houses, which are spacious and have all the facilities you need. Although breakfast is not provided on site, the bar provides great coffee and fresh orange juice! Dinner is however provided by the owners which is a welcome addition since our previous visit. The property is in a great location and close to a long sandy beach. I will be returning!!

Nice quiet location with a pool, bar and evening restaurant. Very well built small stone houses, tastefully furnished in a secluded olive grove. You do need a car but it's not far to drive to restaurants. Long beautiful stretch of sandy beach close to property.

Beautifully situated place in the olive groves and sourounded by the mountains and sea. The nearest beach is around 10 min walk through the forest. The bungalows are very comfortable and cool even in hot temperatures. The swimming pool is clean and just next to the bar. The meals are very good. The hosts are super friendly.Everything just excellent!

We loved this place. Beautiful, quiet place with a very nice pool. Excellent food at the restaurant, lovely charming town nearby and very friendly hosts. Easy to visist anscient Olympia from here. Simply perfect for our family of four.

We had issue with the AC on first night, it was leaking water and has to switch off, the next day it was promptly fixed.
