We liked a lot, much much better than expected. Even normal stairs to penthouse rooftop apartment, easy to go. Excellent terrace and what a view! Nice sound of sea - so good to sleep. And very easy to go to swim. Shops and restaurants near.

We could hear the sea from our room and it was a short walk to the beach. The staff were amazing and were so accommodating - we were even gifted a bottle of wine! Nothing was too much trouble and I would highly recommend staying at Asterias.

The mosquitoes were very frustrating. The electricity required a device, which was on the keys, to be inserted which meant we couldn’t leave the mosquito repellent plug in on while we were out so unfortunately we got bitten a lot over night despite the aircon being on. I have sketer syndrome which means I have an excessive reaction to bites so despite wearing DEET, wearing appropriate clothing and putting as much in place as possible I ended up having to use my emergency pack as well. If the device could be detached from the keys it would have been perfect.

The terraces are exceptionally well equipped and we spent most of our time on the back one overlooking the sea. The view was perfect and there was a choice of sun or shade on both terraces. The thoroughly lovely cleaner came in most days and was very kind and helpful. The studio was well equipped, very, very clean and really close to all the amenities. The BBQ and easy spa were an unexpected surprise. We didn’t use them but we liked the option. It was absolutely perfect for us.

The room was designed lovely, it had everything you needed and although we had a lovely balcony leading onto Main Street it was so quiet. We couldn’t believe it was literally situated on the beach, a lovely quiet spot to definitely return to. The owners were so friendly, wine,raki,water,food,books,board games were provided too.

The apartment was very beautiful and cozy with an amazing view from the balcony. There was everything we needed. Maria cleaned the apartment everyday. They were super friendly and gifted us a bottle of wine and ouzo. There is a private space in front of the house equiped with sunbeds and umbrellas for enjoying the sun and beach. Supermarkets and restaurants were 3 mins away. We would love to come back again.

The queen bed was a bit too narrow for two, we prefer to have a king size. The bathroom could have been a bit more spacious. In the evening mosquitoes were bothering us a bit. Bring your repellant.

The terrace, the garden and the views to the sea were incredible. We stayed on the ground floor apartment which has a lot of space. Although there is no breakfast available, the room had plenty of foods and drinks included. Not much noise, just the lovely sound of crickets in the garden.

Loved everything about this fabulous place!! Stayed in the penthouse apartment with its own roof terrace for two nights. Wish we could have stayed longer. Stunning view. Beautifully laid out. Friendly, helpful host. Steps from the gorgeous beach. The best spot in Kalyves!! Honestly one of the best places we’ve stayed. Whole family adored it. Don’t hesitate.

The property was very clean and quiet, with excellent staff. It was located on the beach. Although it does not have a private beach, it is situated next to Kritiko restaurant where we always found sunbeds and refreshments. A 5 minutes walk takes you to a very sandy beach, Blue flag, if I am not mistakes, where terraces and sunbeds are again available. The room had a lovely balcony with sea view. The other guests were quiet which added to our satisfaction.

Loved location 30 second walk to beach from apartment door,well equipment clean kitchen, apartment was cleaned every other day and bed sheets tea towels and bath and beach towels replaced, we had a late arrival flight but owners son was waiting there at gone midnight to greet us with the keys & show us around the apartment , we were able to park our hire car outside there property to the morning as late, then parked our car in the large car park close by which was free to park 24 hrs a day, owner arranged for us to pick a self hire boat in Chania harbour which was helpful as he had trouble hiring the boat near by ,we was I a 1 bedroom apartment with full sea view which was so wonderful, we had a late departure flight and owner kindly let us say in another room until we left so able to have a shower later on in the day. We had a great holiday made all the better for our stay at Asterias Apartments .

Everything was perfect! The appartment is located literally on the beach, close to the shops and restaurants. Though it lies in the city center, it's a very tranquil and peaceful place. The appartment has everything you could wish for, including room service twice a week, going with fresh towels and bedlinen. Also the starter pack in the fridge - some bread, butter, jam, honey, juices and a welcome bottle of wine. We had a wonderful terrace with a seaview - you can sit there for hours listening to the sea. Then you can take just a few steps down and you are at the beach, where you have sunbeds and sun umbrellas at your disposal. The hosts are very helpful and hospitable, always at hand when you need anything. Hope I'll be back there some day...

Air con was in the lounge and did not keep the room cool, there were however lots of doors and windows to open to provide a breeze.

A pretty apartment with a lovely view in the centre of Kalyves by the beach, shops and restaurants but still really peaceful. It was very clean with a comfy bed and sofas and very good value for money

Location, right on the beach and next to tavernas, shops, bars and supermarkets. Hosts lovely, friendly and left gifts in the apartment. Everything you needed on your doorstep and the best view of a sunrise l have ever seen.
