Asterias Village is perfectly located and within walking distance of two other towns in the area. We loved having access to a Spar Express (mini market) and ATM directly opposite our accommodation. The staff were friendly and very helpful and it was overall a lovely experience.

A lot of steps (as with a lot of properties in the traditional vilkages) so not really suitable for those less mobile, not an issue for us but something to bare in mind.

Booked a superior room, these are the renovated ones, lovely and modern, very comfortable and nice and spacious with lovely sea views. Seperate walk in shower . The room had coffee making facilities & fridge. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Great location. Lovely pool area. Breakfast was nice. I would definitely recommend.

First night we got a room that needed a lot of work but next morning we were moved to a very nice one.

Hotel has a policy (they have a sign) to not allow reserving of sunbeds at the pool, however they do not enforce it. Very annoying when people reserve sunbeds early in the morning and only show up at 17:00, whilst you can't get any shade or seat at the pool. Sometimes about half of the sunbeds were reserved by people that were not there. We asked if we can (re)move the towels, but the hotel staff refused. So they won't do anything abour it and won't allows us to do anything. Also, the pool water is murky/unclear. Not the worst I have seen on crete, but i've definitely seen much better.

lots of stairs. 7 flights from room to the pool and bar area. sun deck area can get quite crowded. Safety issue with pool entry very very slippery. everyone was finding it hazardous to walk into the pool. very dangerous.

The cost of things was just phoenominal, that's not limited to the hotel, that was true of the area in general. I paid 7 euros for a burger and eleven chips, granted things are more expensive but chips are cheap and things like that make a difference. You were not allowed to bring your own food or drink by the pool which meant you had to pay the over the top prices, the pool area was really really quiet which was nice but almost uncomfortable and the fountains in the pool were not working. These are small issues and if I had gone all inclusive I probably would feel less concerned about it. As it was we spent the whole holiday penny pinching both in the hotel and at the nearby restaurants. The cost isn't that bad when the quality is there, but the quality just was not up to scratch to justify the cost. I can't fault the hospitality once you are actually in a venue, any venue. Staff were always really friendly and super helpful. That said we started called Hersonisos "Harrisisos" instead, because you could not physically walk past anywhere without being harassed by the owners, even if you glanced at a menu they would jump on you out of nowhere. The driving was nuts as well, on the drive home our taxi went over 120mph, at one point reaching 130mph on a cliff road. Did we have a good time? - Yes but it was spoilt by the high prices and constantly getting the hard sell. I won't be going again but I'm glad I tried it. If I did go again then yeah, I actually probably would go to this hotel as it was unquestionably the best in the area.

The hotel room and view were stunning. The pool was really nice and the room looked great. Beds were comfy, cleaning facilities were pretty good.

The equipment in the room are basic but you have all you need. Great place.

Great value! Excellent service, breakfast and facilities. The diner with the outstanding view was also very nice. The entire straff was very gentle and there to help. We had an excellent stay.

Can’t name much literally.. We however felt a bit of pity that the beach bar is not yet utilised to its full potential. We thought perhaps some live music or cozy lightings would surely help to attract more guests. And of course, a small bottle of dishwashing liquid in our room kitchen would have been appreciated..

The kitchen was poorly equipped, no sponge, no dish soap. No cooking pans.

Very nice location in a very touristic area, a small typical Greek village with a lot of restaurants and very close to Hersonissos and the sea (about 2 km by foot, 20 minutes away). The area wiyh the swimming pool was very nice, also very crowded but we were always able to find a sunbed. The receptionist was always helpful wiyh many indications. Quite distant from Heraklion, but in a very nice tourist spot.

Pool and pool area too small for number of apartments / guests, therefore not enough lounges. Guests informed not to reserve lounges, but this is not policed. Guest were reserving lounges at dawn and not using them until later in the day. Hence lack of availability. Steep stairs. Reception at bottom of stairs rather than entrance point. Lovely big balcony but could be better with lounges, umbrella, and privacy screening.

Really comfortable beds. Very good cleaning service. Big apartment (separate one bedroom). Well equipped kitchen. Nice quiet location with several taverns and cafes nearby. Car / bike / quad rentals nearby, plus a couple of supermarkets within walking distance (best supermarket - turn right out of hotel and approx 500m - Spar). If looking for a beach location this isn't within easy walking distance.

our bathroom was not woking well, but after that we told it to the reception, they managed to repair it the morning after.

Everything was perfect! fantastic breakfast, and lovely dinner at the restaurant. The staff is always smiling, and they are all very helpful. The pool is great! Position is perfect.

We spent a very nice and sunny vacation at this location together with our 6 years old son. Very good breakfast and excellent dinner with a nice view of the city and sea from the restaurant's terrace. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location also has arranged with a medical clinic to conduct PCR/Rapid Antigen testing for their tourists on site every day at a certain time, which was very convenient and helped us save time for the return flight.

Rooms need some changes. Windows didn't have protection and we were fighting with mosquitos all night because aircondition wasn't working. Too crowdy pool. Too many stairs to go and leave.

Nice view to the area. If you like village-hotels you may like it.

The Laundry service is a little expensive and our clothes were not all dried. The restaurant is not the best in the street by far.

The employees are really great and dedicated to the customer 👌🏼 Location and swimming pool were a must for us (family with a 2 years old)

Very friendly staff, nice views from the balcony. Apartments very clean. No more than a 15-20 min walk to the town/beach/nearest gym etc. Great value for money.
