* Breakfast is between 3 and 4 stars. I will take an example - the selection of teas -one cannot find fruit tea or mint tea which are regular everywhere. Vegetables very little. Only tomatoes in slices. Bread selection very small. ** Room is small - I tried to take a junior suite or suite for 3 adults. They have none of these and a room for 3 adults is very small

The best thing about this hotel is location. Very close to Syntagma square. Location for serving breakfast is nice on the top of hotel with a limitation, about half of the space is opened for those who want to stay in fresh air, but one day it was hard rain and all the people crowded in the covered space, a lot standing waiting for others to finish to be able to catch a free table.

We would have been thrilled about this had it not been the horrible smell coming out of the bathroom. Also the room was next to the elevator therefore the room had a lot of unwanted noise...

Our room was on the 2nd floor on the street side and there was a lot of noise all night (people shouting, loud music from bars, car noise). The balcony was not clean. There were no glasses in the room, only paper cups.

Very professional and friendly staff. Good breakfast and view to Acropolis. Clean room and a comfortable bed. Location is excellent with access to great restaurants and bars, and very close to lots of great shopping. Also very close to bus, tram stop and metro. Possibility to store luggage.

It was not good that in Booking the hotel mentioned that there is a rooftop bar. Still, it was just for breakfast and the entire day the restaurant I the last floor with the view was closed, and my flight was in the morning before breakfast. The reception employee didn't allow us to go see the view from the roof even half an hour before opening the restaurant.

The location was perfect, it was so easy to come from the Airport by shuttle to Syntagma Square and walk just 5 minutes to reach the hotel, and the hotel is close to the centre and it was safe to walk around at night.

Our room was on the third floor and looking the side road, all the noises (roaring motor bikes, shouting people, garbage trucks) on the street were in our room. This goes till the early hours of the day. If you are a deep sleeper after a long walking day you may live with this. I like towels with a clean smell.

The shower and the price.

We booked the room with view to the acropolis, which was really nice during sunset times. The room is cozy and clean, not so sure about the shower (the whole bathroom floor gets wet after the shower), but the location is exceptional.

Extremely patchy internet on the 5th floor Acropolis View room.

Terrific location, just a short walk from Syntagma Square & the airport bus stops & Metro. Plenty of shops, restaurants etc on your doorstep & only a 10 minute walk to Plaka & other key areas. The Astor is not the grandest of the hotels in the area, but it provides very good value for money & a great Acropolis view at breakfast & from the room - if you book the higher Acropolis Frame view rooms. WiFi was extremely patchy on the 5th floor Acropolis View room.... Overall though, good value, great location strong shower pressure, very comfortable.

Surprised they don’t use the rooftop breakfast cafe in the evening for dinner or at least as a residents bar for the view

It has the most amazing views from the breakfast cafe. Great location centrally for cafes and shops etc plus it’s only a 15-20 minute walk to the Acropolis museum
