Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicLot of drug users around the accomodation. And not so safe location. If I come to Accomodation manager - When I informed her that there was a person injecting drugs in front of the door on the stairs, she told me that she didn't do anything about it, that they rented floors from the 3rd to the 7th floor and that she didn't do anything about it, that if I want, I can call the police myself. It's a really dangerous place.
Perfect and clean room.

United Kingdomthe holder for the showerhead (manual) was loose and would not hold the head, had to place on the site. the shower is very small, the curtain kept on blowing inwards and sticking to me while taking a shower. the elevator is extremely small may fit 2 people but not much else. breakfast was very simple, 1 hard boiled egg, 2 slices of bread with a slice of cheese and a croissant. the area that the hotel is in seems a bit sketchy as it is on a side road. not on the main road. although it is not the hotels responsibility, it is safe to note that there are some homeless people in the area, noticed some used needles on the sidewalks near the hotel. i did see a couple of bugs near the end of my stay (as soon as I turned on the light when I returned one night they scattered), brought it up to the staff so they could spray any needed pesticide.
the location is really close to the city centre, national museum is 15 minutes walk, a few shops and mini marks are nearby to buy water and other essentials. public transport is within walking distance as well, 10 to 15 minutes, depending if taking the bus or the train. the building is a multi storey building and has an elevator on site. air conditioner and tv on site as well, mini safe, (not big, small enough for wallet and passport.) breakfast delivered to the room and coffee can be found on the third floor. security keypads to enter the building, each floor and the room, very secure. There is also a mini fridge in the room. balcony available as well.

United StatesThe bed was pretty low, the building was old and decrepit looking, the location was in a run-down old area that didn't feel very safe.
The room itself was ok. Clean and comfy enough and good AC. Nice bathroom. Friendly staff.

ThailandThe door was often blocked by junkies doing drugs, so coming back at night was scary. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. The bathroom was small and the holders (shampoo and toilet paper holder) were not screwed properly to the wall, they fell on the floor a couple of times. After we checked out, the manager had the audacity to send me a photo of one of the broken holders and ask me to pay for it. I had to laugh at it 🤯
It's close to the center and the room was clean.

GreeceThe most important was that the host was completely uncommunicative. On our 1st stay the codes to enter the rooms were not updated and the host was absent for 3 hours, even though a phone number was provided on the confirmation email and viber message stating that we could use that for any issues and receive a reply within minutes. We tried via call, sms, viber and what's app and we could not contact him whatsoever. We could not check-in for 3 whole hours, we did not know where to go, we thought it was a scam and we were alone without contact on a city without accommodation (that we had already paid for). The host did nothing to compliment us on our troubles. On the 2nd stay we asked to switch rooms due to the broken TV (that is included on the room cost), but that could not be done. Also, the room had different checkout hours than the ones on the confirmation email and we would be locked up in the room or charged extra if we did not think to ask. Overall, a disappointing experience.
We stayed twice in 2 different rooms. The first one on the 3rd floor was clean and provided basic appliances, it was ok for the night. The second one on the 7th floor had a damaged TV and a see through curtain, resulting that we woke up ar 6am.

Greecethe rudeness of the cleaning lady / manager of the place .some kind of a Russian Lady that has absolutely no manners no patience and absolutely no culture or education to manage or interact with tourists and guests of this nevertheless beautiful place maybe the owner has to do something about it ..screaming from the top of her lungs because of a mistake i made didn't know that it was no smoking and then she was knocking on my door first thing in the morning to complain about smoking screaming at me.. didn't pay attention we were smoking in the balcony as we were told and then she kept on knocking on the door saying that it smells and spoke to us with the worst worst way ...when she was giving the breakfast she kept knocking on the door and because I was in bed and getting dressed to open the door and get the breakfast she was furious and literally threw the plate in my hands with the worst attitude ..and about the breakfast that was in the plate? 2 dried out pieces of bread and 2 boild eggs..(like she was I don't know feeding dogs or something?) and I'm not exhadurating... what's the problem with this lady? don't know.... too bad to have her as a manager to a beautiful place as it is...( do something boss..)

GreeceWe arrived in Athens 4.30am in the morning jet lagged..by the time we arrived in Omonia it was 7.30am.eventualy after a long search for the rooms we found the property..no signage to say its the property..i called the property's mobile and a woman fluent in greek answered.who whatsapped me instructions to enter as all the doors to the property have codes.once we had the codes we went to the supposed entrance of the rooms.. To be confronted by a woman to be told in broken greek/english that checkin was only at 14.00. I asked if we can then leave our bags till we return at 14.00.i was told very abruptly and rude shes serving breakfast and we must come back later and bagage storeage would cost 7 euros. I was so pissed at her attitude that i was prepared to just leave and writeoff the money i had paid in advance for 2 nights..but my travel partner convinced me not to do that.. So we come back 13.50 and open the entrance door leading to the establishment.we get confronted by a differnt woman. Even ruder than the 1st one..to tell us checkin is only at 14.00 in broken greek/english.now i was double as pissed as before and actual scared to go in at 14.00 incase of a nasty confortation..as i am fluent in greek and english and my mouth knows no brakes. Anyway another guest arrived at 14.05 and was shown in and we followed him to our room. Yes as much as the building looked derilict from the front we were pleasently surprised with the our room. The next morning i discovered i am dealing with the cleaners who mostly only spoke Albainian hense why they came over rude.. Would i stay there again? Probably once settled in i was fine with the place. Unfortunatly the place i normaly stay when in Athens was fully booked for the dates i required a room..and 3 times beter value.. Also the whole of greece is littered with refugees trying to earn a buck and are hardworkers Who dont speak greek or english so dont be like me..be patient.😂😂
Rooms are Situated close to Omonia metro (little Albainia) The bed was newish..and good for a tired jet lagged body..the room was a reasonable size and had a balcony and spotless..
