How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Wonderful reception we received after exhausting long trip from Australia. Communication excellent, including handy hints. Slept so peacefully in quiet room with super comfy bed. The location is central. Everything we did was walking distance. Wouldn’t even shop around for next trip, I’d re-book immediately. Big thanks 🙏

The kitchenette is very small but just about adequately equipped. There was no plug for the sink and no tea towels so washing up was a bit difficult.
It would be difficult to find a better location in Athens! The airport bus stops 30 metres from the entrance door. The metro stops at Syntagma Square opposite and buses and trams run close by with easy access to the Archaeological Museum and the Acropolis etc.

Everything was marvelous.
Breakfast wasn’t included. It was a private apartment with kitchen and facilities for cooking. Apartment was in a superb area and number one location.

The electricity went out in the bottom half of the building for a few days after a big storm. The elevator didn’t work and the light switches didn’t work on the stairs. Other than that, it was lovely!

Perfect location (Syntagma square) to visit the city center and to travel to/from airport. The apartment is clean and has all facilities needed. The host was kind and helpful!

No complaints when the price is low. We can sleep, bath, eat and the metro and bus is just nearby. Nice.
The apartment is located in FRONT of the 1) Syntagma metro station - and in FRONT of the 2) bus line #95 stop-/parking place (Syntagma-Airport). So very much accessible transportation to anywhere. The apartment is located centrally - so you can just hike to different historical sites, shopping places, eating places nearby. Though the apartment is at the center - does not mean, it is noisy around - it is a little bit inside the block of the building complex, so one can hear a little noise. We have our window open, so we did hear something. If one closes the window, then it is silent. (There is aircon too - but we preferred the window open.) I do take budget travels and Athens stylish studio fits the purpose. Thank you!

Some minor cleaning details that could be avoided, but all in all, nothing that i didn't like.
The people are Greek and very friendly. They were supportive to find solution to every possible issue and could be easily accessed over Whatsapp. I will definitely stay there again. Bus to airport directly at your front door. Central Metro station also in front of you. The apartment is just like in the pictures. Bit small but for 1-2 persons is great and very quiet even though in the center of Athens.

The apartment is perfect for a solo traveller or couple visiting Athens. It is right outside the bus stop to the airport as well as a central metro station that connects you to all the attractions in the city, and with convenient restaurants all around. The hosts went the extra mile to make sure my stay was amazing, and super fast responses when I was heading from the airport to the apartment. The apartment was clean, with great utilities including a comfortable bed, lovely shower, microwave, washing machine, and even a coffee machine! It was quiet and had everything needed to make the stay perfect. The building is also tucked away, making it a secure and safe location. Would highly recommend this place!

There was a blackout during my stay. No generator in the building, I had to sit in darkness for two hours. But staff was responsive. Furniture quite old.
