How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Since the room is located with a door right to the street even with it (street) being a quiet one it got pretty loud with partying people or motorbikes passing, if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs.
Awesome personnel! Amazing room size and location with 2-3minutes away from anything you as a tourist will need! Very comfortable beds!

They clean the room every 2 days also didn’t change the towels every day we had to go and ask for clean one

Best location. 3 minutes to Monastiraki metro station. The rooms are clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all it is a great experience.

Curtains were dirty and not replaced Had to sleep with that in my face as I could not remove them. We had to choose between privacy and cleanliness

We came in winter so it was a little cold - but the heating soon warmed up the room if we needed.

Everything was great. Nothing to not like.
The location is great at the center of Athens. Everything is nearby and accessible. Port, Restaurants, Bars, Cafes, Shopping centers and Metro.

I was with my husband and felt safe, but I think I may have been scared if I was traveling alone as there were a lot of homeless people around. Room was not cleaned every day. We stayed 7 nights and it was only cleaned twice.
The staff were friendly and the location was very central. Easy to walk everywhere and plently of options around for food

Morning noises coming from the street, the walls are very thin between apartments that you can hear everything especially cleaner cleaning and moving furniture give the impression that actually it was in our apartment for someone who want to enjoy a night life of athens won't be very comfortable to sleep till late with all those noises

The neighborhood was a bit weird. A lot of homeless people and drug addicts were around.

No breakfast, no coffee . At least there could be a coffee machine. There weren't any normal blankets, it was a bit cold at night time. Rooms were cleaned only twice a week (Monday and Friday).
Very small hotel, but clean and cosy. Perfect location - in a very centre of Athens, 20 min walk from Acropolis. The staff was friendly, beds were very comfortable, bathroom clean and had everything I needed. Very noisy outside, but only if the windows are open. If closed - no problems at all.

The room misses the sounds from the streets a lot. It is impossible to sleep. The evacuation light lamp illuminates the room too strongly at night...

Perfect location. Couldn't recommend it more for a short stay in Athens, so close to every major tourist site. And the nearby streets with lots of bars and restaurants was ideal.

I don’t have any genuine complaints that aren’t just different business practices. I would have been okay walking into a cooler room (the AC was off), but don’t expect an AC in Europe to be on when the room is vacant. I could mention that you can’t flush toilet paper, but that’s standard throughout most of Greece. So read negative reviews with some perspective - it was a wonderful stay that exceeded my expectations for such a good rate.
The location was excellent, staff friendly and informative, and room was comfortable and very clean. Also easy for an American abroad to make arrangements for a late arrival with the hotel - very responsive.

Small room and very noisy on a Saturday night with a lot of noise from the nearby nightclubs.
Close the the main attractions of Athens with lots of good food near by.

The toilet had a big window with a closed blind facing in the room. It felt like I had no privacy. It was also quite small so water from the shower would splatter in the entire bathroom area.
The hotel was in a really good location. The reception employees were very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable.
