Although a kettle and mugs were provided, there were no glasses or cutlery, i.e., not even a teaspoon. This is a shame as otherwise this was a comfortable, pleasant, if overpriced stay compared to other places we have stayed in Ikaria.

The bed was very comfortable, the proprietor was exceptional, and the receptionist was very friendly. The room was cleaned regularly every day. Atheras is located very conveniently to the town and port. The balcony was a real bonus. The decor was carefully considered. Everywhere in the hotel was clean and pleasant.

We only stayed at Atheras for a few hours of sleep before our early morning ferry from Evdilos, but we really appreciated the size and cleanliness of the room as well as the proximity to the harbor. It was off season and the pool/facilities were not open, but the woman at the reception desk was very friendly and accommodating even though I made a mistake with my booking and we showed up a night early.

We went slightly out of season (mid Oct) and found the pool empty despite the weather being in the 70's, this info was not given to us prior to us booking, also there was building work going on in the hotel which woke us each morning, however we were given complimentary breakfast to compensate. I understand that such work needs to happen but maybe in winter when the hotel is much quieter.

The lady on reception was lovely, super friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned daily with new towels. The location was lovely and although there was no hotel parking, there was a free carpark at the harbour which was a 3 minute walk away. Not sure how busy it would be in high season but we found a space easily each day.

Basically everything was ok, the room was clean and staff welcoming and friendly. There was strange system for hot water which I did not figure out or just didnt wait long enough to get hot water. Very old hair dryer and the cups for tea/coffee in the room were dirty. Overall still a good place but pretty expensive for 60€ a night.

The hairdryer needs to be updated. Very old fashion and not practical. Only worked if you stood in a certain position and away from mirror. Looked like something from the 70s. No tea or coffee offered yet there was a kettle. No bottle of water in fridge. The sea view is not really a seaview as such - you really have to stand up and then really stretch to see any water. The view was one of old dilapidated homes and their overgrown back yards.

False advertising. Photos on Bookings appear there are views of sea from hotel with balconies facing. Restaurant no longer operating and didnt see pool bar in use.

Would’ve been nice to have water and some milk in fridge. There was a kettle but no coffee tea or sugar provided. In Australia all hotels provide those basic things in the rooms.

Right in the heart of Evdilos. Ground floor room which had a separate entrance so hubby didn’t have to climb steps as he has bad knees. Parking was available. The room was basic but had most things needed for our stay.

Not having a high shower head holder was a bit of a pain as you have to wash yourself with one hand. Plug sockets in some wierd places, so to put the kettle on you have to move the whole tray. Very minor inconveniences that didn't detract from my stay.

Perfect location, one minute walk from the harbour. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and comfortable. Nice pool area. Good value for money. I would stay here again.

The room and location was great. The only problem was the hot water didn’t work. I stayed a week before in a different room and knew to turn the breaker on but the hot water in our room didn’t work. I’m sure it will e fixed before the next guest but that didn’t help me. Lol. Not a problem I loved everything else! I would highly recommend this hotel. Easy check in and Perfect location.

Hard to review 'out of season' as elements of the hotel were closed naturally but this was a very comfortable and friendly hotel smack in the middle of Évdhilos. Comfortable room and a super bed. Helpful interaction with the owners.
